Although now that I think of it, "mess" is a noun, not an adjective, so it's acting as a direct object, but this is a sentence fragment, so... yeah, mess is a good description of English.

@James Yeah. tried skimming through it a bit, looking for the conclusions, but between legaleze, work obligations, and sheer density, it may take a while.

I guess the real test of that is if they decide to try to bring any kind of charges. The main takeaway seems to be "no signs of collusion by any American".
