I am a member of several SE communities, but security is outstanding when it comes to number of mean comments.

@Iszi If Cloudflare is used, then they must use some specific configuration to recognize the true target site (SNI or Host: header). If the certificate is broken for the meta site, then chances are that they did not configure the routing for the meta site, thus resulting in an error code.

@Iszi Apparently, if you connect with OpenSSL (openssl s_client) and send custom HTTP requests, you get a 403 unless the SNI and the "Host:" match, and the target is a "known site".
@Iszi I know you get a simple 403 when you use an unconfigured server name (like meta.security.stackexchange.com). The detailed 403 is when you do a SNI/Host mismatch. Pay atttention.

@RоryMcCune And I'm inclined to agree with "possibly too broad" too. May be well-defined, but could be large, or covering it in proper detail may take up more space than the SE format allows.
@kalina I was about to say that this list wouldn't fit that because it's finite, but then again Windows 10 is "the last version of Windows" so presumably the list will grow eventually as "Service Packs" and "New Versions" aren't released for it. ;-)
