Hm, not sure how I feel about using "state" to indicate "one of the 50 US states".

Seems OK to me. What's wrong with it?

Probably not tight enough, like how some people don't like using "note" or "key" to indicate A-G?
Also, well, implicit US too I guess (depending on audience)

Q: Riddle me this , Riddle me that

pr1nc3 In my place time has stopped time may fly but i will never grow old I am used as evidence of the past people may mention me with pride or discussed I am not the one to blame , to what i was born to be but the person who pulled the trigger , gave birth to me. What am I?

I don't think anything's wrong with "note" for A-G or do-ti either. I think the US is well enough known worldwide that it's not unfair. Pretty sure I've seen e.g. "city" (rather than e.g. "American city") cluing "NY" in reputable English newspaper crosswords too.

I don't like it, but I still agree it's legal

Yeah, I think it's legal - but I likely wouldn't use it because of how many options there are.

Maybe if the rest of the clue is already easy enough and it's about the only thing that fits the surface?

I'd be more willing to use, say, "east coast state".

That works OK here (though it makes the clue easier, and it was pretty easy already) but sometimes you need the surface reading of "state" to be something else...

True. I don't think it's too bad here, but in a more complicated clue I'd be more hesitant to use it.

Q: Sudoku false positive (wrong move)

Emmanuel Adu Gyamfi I'm new to sodoku puzzles. I tried solving the one above but my last move was flagged as a wrong move(highlighted red). I believe it is a false positive since the "6"(highlighted red) I inserted is unique on the rows and columns as well as within the small square. Can someone justify this for me?
