Q: Find the missing piece.

user53678 I guess that these questions may use different logic independently or not i don't know. I just found one logic that fits only to the first one. *These questions are from the one of high IQ Society founded by Xavier Jouve Ph.D for the top 0.3% of people along the IQ spectrum.

Has anyone been trying to solve the cryptic? I'm not sure whether I should give a second hint, even though it's been a week.

I've given it a good go and didn't get far... I'll happily take a new hint.

Q: Why will my friend have to grow his beard out?

Tanner SwettKnowledge required for this riddle: English-language proverbs. My friend Leonard came to me with a problem the other day. He said, “Tanner, I want to have a clean-shaven face. But every time I use a razor, I end up with this nasty painful rash.” “Razor burn,” I said. “Yeah, that's right,” said...

@EricTressler Oh, I didn't even think to look up something that I didn't realise was a word... The answer is W(HOLES)ALE (def: extensive), cracks = HOLES, in ship's plank = WALE (apparently "a horizontal wooden strip fitted as strengthening to a boat's side")

Q: This is why I shouldn't leave my notebook out in my sleep

Excited RaichuSo, last night, I accidentally left my notebook out on my nightstand, because I was doing homework late. When I woke up, it was open (which it wasn't before!). My hands were covered in ink, and there were some really weird symbols on the page the notebook was open to. I wrote them (my hands ...

Q: The Pentomino Snake

Excited RaichuThe premise of the puzzle is quite simple. Here's how to set it up. Draw a 5x5 grid of squares. Write the number 1 in the middle. Make a "snake" of numbers up to 25 so that each number is orthogonal from the previous number AND the next number. Divide the grid into the pentominoes ...

@ManyPinkHats Nice one!

@JGibbers I didn't close it, so I can only speculate. Generally, posts are encouraged to be self-contained. If the entirety of the puzzle is on an external site, that link could eventually become invalid, and then the entire post is useless. I assume that if the puzzle could be stated in the post itself, there might be an argument for re-opening it.
