Well I think we're just going to go with Skype instead anyway. All they do is video teleconference once a week and we spent $3k on a Polycom roundtable camera back in 09. Since MS Live is gone it doesn't work with anything else, including the web app version of Lync

Honestly @Travis - for 35 users I would look at O365. You'll get Office 2013 (yeah you'll need to upgrade everyone to 7 or better to use it) as well. Basically you'll get 2 free years of Exchange/Lync/Sharepoint in exchange for buying Office. Then you'll have a monthly cost, but by then the next version of Office will probably be out and you'll start that 2 years free cycle over...

Now if you had 1,000 users and already had on-premise Exchange/lync/sharepoint it's hard to justify spending $200k+ year. But for us we are a small shop like you and the up front capital investment of a datacenter with the robustness/uptime/redundancy/san-size required to match O365 wouldn't pay off for us.

Possibly not. For us, we were paying for Exchange VM on a VAR's cloud...costing us the same as going to O365 but without the redundancy/etc.

The owner really hates the cloud and will never let our data touch it

I tried to explain to him that our e-mail is "in the cloud" since it is hosted...but I doubt they will let me spend $$ on an exchange server. Not to mention our .com is shared by two locations and the other location won't be able to access our exchange server

@voretaq7 And yes, FireFox 21 (or was it 19?) finally decided to "support" Mp3 by allowing pass-through codec recognition if the underlying OS has the proper codecs. The problem is, it doesn't work and MP3 audio is mangled with 15 second drop outs between 2 seconds of listenability.

For some strange reason it'll only print a job if I power-cycle the printer. Otherwise it sits at "waiting for printer to become available" ...
