pisses me off to no end because she's not a tech, and my blazingly fast hand build SSD and umpteen GB RAM powered desktop that blows away the performance of any mac under 5k$ isn't "fast enough" and her old piece of crap macbook just felt "faster", even though it's demonstrably not.
change your chat parent account, log out/log back in, then change it back -- usually works for me. Sometimes have to kill the browser. Stupid gravatars.
Seems like more and more legacy hardware as Chopper called it is getting dropped in the consumer realm fo the sake of sapce, still seems like a shame to lose the good old wire connection
@voretaq7 yeah, I have to agree, at some point they just won't make sense anymore for consumers, but idk what I'm gonna do when I'm in the data center and I need a direct line to something. I'll probably have to use a company laptop with "old hardware on it" :O

I know apple freaking owns the display manufacturers' testicles - It can't be more than $100 for the better panel (and if it is they just say they'll take their business across the street and the fuckers will cave!)

hmm, passbook app - sounded lame but if it actually loads my starbucks card when I walk into a starbucks so I don't have to wait 10 minutes for the app to load or dig through my wallet to get the plastic card out I'm all for it!

@Mario you're asking for a lot -- you'd have to make word lists, map that to commands, etc -- and all the Siri processing happens on Apple's servers so there's limited incentive for them to do that work for you
