I am attempting to engage (more) with LOPSA. Their preferred method of discussion appears to be the 1970's mailing list, any recommendations for an easy way to read these ?

Use a sane MUA like mutt that does threading properly.

@voretaq7 And yes, that's the only good thing I see out of it anymore. Sadly, I haven't had a chance to get involved with it other than reading the emails when someone new signs up to be mentored.

Being in the UK (or at least outside their core areas) doesn't help either

right...cant anyone tell me what this slot is? It's some bastardised 2.5" PIN-type IDE to "x", where I have no idea what "x" is. It's from a 2005 Compaq nc6120 but the manual is no help...and I need to find that out before trying to get anything off of it.

yeah i've figured that's an addaptor (the two back screws are holding it to the caddy)

just wondered what sort it was and if i could avoid unscrewing everything...meh.

@voretaq7 nah. proprietary laptop ide. Dell ones are identical, but go the other way.. ie, male on the device not female.

the connector is probably harder to find than 20 minutes alone with the device and a drill to remove the screws :P
