@Yuuki They never make logical sense with their progressions. It's like they do concept art and whatever looks like itll sell merch they keep and base the typing off of that
Honestly, I think that's a good thing. Bug never really had much in the way of good offensive moves (which was part of why Psychic was so OP in Gen 1) and Megahorn is a physical move.
@DavidCoffron target must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. If its saving throw result is 5 or lower, the poisoned target falls unconscious for the same duration, or until it takes damage or another creature takes an action to shake it awake.
@DavidCoffron That's to save versus Sprite Sleep. There are one or two other things that do the same thing, but Sprite is the only one I recall right now.
@DavidCoffron It's annoying because normally you'd shore up the starter type with the most weaknesses (Fire, IIRC) with a type that has a lot of resistances (Steel), but Fire/Steel is 4x to Ground. And Ground is probably the most common offensive type in competitive battling.
@DavidCoffron Maybe they'll take the opportunity with the move to Switch to do a major revamp. But.... rumors kind of suggest otherwise if they mean anything at all.
This is the most beautiful corn I have ever seen. It is a Native American variety called I believe 'Glass Gem Corn' and yes it really does grow like that. I can't stop admiring it :)
Doesn't grass tend to lean physical? I guess it's well balanced. Razor leaf/vine whip are kind of signatures, but solarbeam/magical leaf/giga drain (and pals) exist.
I can't remember where I saw the break down but in 1 gen the primary moves broke down physical/special types and all the eevees have been of the special
There's a handful of Stack Overflow copycat Q&A engines out there.
IIRC Stack Overflow Inc accepts them. They can't do anything about that. But, most of those other engines are busy making Stack Overflow look good -- and making Stack Overflow do work to keep up & remain competitive & keep on improving lest they get left in the dirt.
@NautArch yessir! read it over again. I find often that in contentious cases that letting time pass often helps me see clearly good answers. Plus, I had already upvoted it. So past me also liked it at some point lol
@NautArch To answer your comment, yes I don't think it's all that common that all they want is the +5 init, unless they somehow don't have extra attack, meaning the crossbow expert isn't helping much in the first place
but you never know, someone might have thought "whoa +5 init?". 5 is a huge number in 5e
@Rubiksmoose yes while editing I thought the same but couldn't decide. "Does crossbow expert also apply to Speed Factor Initiative?" "What exactly does ignoring the loading property entail?"
neither seems great
@NautArch alright let's comment cleanup :)
@NautArch Now I'm just nitpicking but in this situation the alert seems "scritly superior" rather than "equivalent"
@Rubiksmoose well, now you've got me rethinking the dupe...
i guess reopen it because this is different due to the material requirement and the line contingency ends on you if its material component is ever not on your person.
I'd probably say Wish gives you the component, but that's a ruling not a rule.
we fought a pirate king last night who had his Kraken, and found zero treasure. Don't know if it was GM messing with us or if there was no treasure.
Also pretty sure the DM messed up with the Kraken. I hit it for about 160hp on my first turn against it and 'dropped it'. But Kraken's have a lot more HP than that.
This is my paladin in full plate with a cloak of the manta ray. Another water dwelling thing came up and I flew over it on my pegasus and did an air-to-sea missile impression (and a 4th level smite for the final creature standing) to end it.
@Rubiksmoose Apology accepted. You've been resubscribed to bee facts. Did you know that bees are the world's leading producers of both honey and nightmares? You will soon.
@doppelgreener can diamond mods see who is flagging, in this case, a comment? I only ask because I always wonder to specify if I want a comment removed from my answer if I should specify that is is me who is speaking. But I also kind of assumed you could see the flagger. But now I'm curious.
Here's an interesting question - why is "secret Nazi moon base" a thing but not "secret Soviet Venus base"? The Soviets had a lot of successful Venus missions.
Quick 3.5e question, my search into dominate person didn't come up with anything. If a Vampire lays dominate person(Su) on a PC, and then the Vampire is slain, does the dominate end, or does the dominate continue until the next day (when the "refresh" fails to happen). Anyone? Maybe I need to ask on main site.
@KorvinStarmast AFB but I do not know of any rule that effects created by a creature stop when the creature has been killed (aside from a specific rule for called/summoned creatures, and the existence of this specific rule may prove that the general rule does not exist)
The vampire, while dead, would obviously not be able to issue new commands, but as far as I know, the victim would continue executing its last order
@doppelgreener There's no specific phrase that's traditional; the Bahá'í Faith doesn't usually go in for that kind of ritual. But the Declaration is a joyous occasion (it's the anniversary of the night the Báb first announced His Mission to Mullá Husayn) while the Ascension is sombre (the anniversary of the night Bahá'u'lláh passed away), so that would inform the greetings exchanged on those days.
@doppelgreener However, Alláh-u-Abhá is used as a catch-all greeting/farewell; it means roughly "God is all-glorious" or "All glory to God;" the transliteration might be "God is Godly," but that... loses a lot of the nuance.
