Could someone help me on partitionating the hard drive to manually during the Windows 8 installation? Look, I already have a Ubuntu installed and I don't want to delete it and I also created a partition for this Windows 8 (250 GB more or less), the problem is that when I try to delete this partition to create a new one clicking on the "New" button and I got a warning message that says "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style." What should I do?

So I think once I hit 20k, I'm just going to start giving away bounties once a month to get back down around 20k. I have absolutely no need for more rep beyond that, and I like to invest in the community :)

I recently signed up for an online streaming service. They also provide an Android app, but it won't run on rooted devices. Apparently so that you can't copy their content. However, it's still perfectly fine to play the content on your PC and record it with the camera on your phone :D

And by "perfectly fine" I mean it's technically possible ;D

DRM is just annoying

So my girlfriend bought a refurbished laptop off ebay. Turns out the RAM is defective. So I just had a call with the seller, who is presumably doing refurbishing for a living. He has never heard of memtest86

The vast majority of memory errors (that are not DoA) can only be discovered by extensive testing.

You need extensive pattern testing and multiple passes to discover many errors involving stuck bits, etc..

Your BIOS may include a testing utility. There are many available. Some will detect what others miss.

I've found Windows' built-in one misses some harder to detect ones that memtest86+ found. It also takes longer to run a single pass, though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I've heard of the Windows tool detecting some that memtest86+ misses.
