Not sure if that's a grammar fix or not...

It's correct how it is

@Andy some extra word between "would have" would break the tense
"would have" is subjuntive mood (then I don't know how) so there shouldn't be some word in between

@iBug wat.

so "would have also been done" is better than "would also have been done"

@iBug yeah
27 secs ago, by terdon
Both are fine.

Let's listen to the native speakers (I'm not one of them, BTW).

so you all agree "would also have been done" is a valid sentence in subjunctive mood?
@Glorfindel you're still native to a European language

@iBug Yes. That's valid.

"I would've also done that" vs " I also would've done that"

12:50 PM
ok, I'll retract that PR

Slightly different, but both correct. In this case, "This post would also have been caught for" means that this post would have been caught for the current reason and for this other reason listed below. The change @iBug suggested actually changes the meaning slightly because "This post would have also been caught for: " means only that this post would have been caught by the reason below also. So it isn't emphasizing that the current reason catches it, but that the other would have as well.

@WELZ I would also have done that..?

Anyway, grammatically they're both fine, it's a very subtle difference in nuance, and in this case, you want the original.

Yay, Originalers wins over Pioneers

Umm since SmokeDetector aka Smokey is our most active moderator on SO, perhaps it will have to take precedence over "lets change things for changing's own sake" decisions by the SO company. The people who make these kind of bots are awesome and should be supported by SO, not shot down. Or by all means shut down the bot and then SO employees can do the forum moderation themselves. — Lundin 43 mins ago

hehe, that would be awesome

sudden jump in TTD

and on smaller sites, it can sit for days

I don't think it's unethical, but definitely a$$hole-ish

that's pretty much synonymous

We can shake our fists at detractors saying we don't do much and the ttd is irrelevant all day, but in the end there are many more normal users who've gotten used to not be surprised by offensive and disturbing shit on their browse for work solutions while working

@ArtOfCode what about, "Due to a high volume of hate, and distrust towards Charcoal and it's (hard working) members, we will be shutting it down for a week"

So taking that away just to see how people would react would be pretty unethical

4:45 PM
define high volume

They are all deleted, I need 10k on MSE and SFF to get exact numbers! :)

because once you compare it to the vast majority of users who are in support or at the very least not actively complaining... it's pretty small

High volume is not 3 people on meta and another 4 or so on SFF that think we're authoritarian dictators
the others just have concerns about autoflagging

a sudden rise in tensions in a short period...
@Magisch aren't they "benevolent"

@ArtOfCode for a non tech person like me, something like scraping a cookie ain't as easy on so's own auth, is it?

4:48 PM
Then we can argue a point that out every new visitor who came to the SE network for the first time and saw how bad the spam was, how many of them were turned off by the disgusting state and decided not to contribute to the SE network?... This could have been avoided if Smokey was watching. First impressions to new potential members mean a lot.

openid.stackexchange is SO native

@Magisch it's pretty easy

The standard email/password login on SE sites calls stackauth.com, which calls openid.stackexchange

@ArtOfCode wait, so just email adress and password on SO won't work anymore?

of course they will
