🔥 Update‌ I've just added the username to the FIRE report popup. Also, feedback buttons are now disabled if there are no actions left to perform (flag / feedback has been sent).

I find I don't look at AIM that much, but I don't want users to rely on what others feedback'd, too much
But seeing as it's 3 "nays", so far, I'll refrain from changing that just yet :P

@Cerbrus FIRE consistently takes ±3 seconds to load, while opening the page to the post itself takes less than half a second. 1) Any idea why this is the case? 2) Can you show the FIRE popup immediately after clicking the icon? Right now, I don't have any feedback that I clicked.

@Glorfindel Might be related to data loading...
It should show immediately after clicking

It has never done so for me. I'm wondering what data is loading, then.

@Glorfindel FIRE is significantly faster for me (instant) vs a few+ seconds for loading the post - so the other way around to your experience

I've still gotta rewrite the loading...
@Glorfindel: Do you click the button, or use Ctrl+Space?

Click the button.
I didn't even know Ctrl + Space worked ...

It opens the last report
What I think is happening: you mouseenter the button, data starts loading, but before it's finished loading, you request the popup. Which means it'll try to load the data a second time, only to open the popup after that second load completed...

@Mithrandir too quick in Fire, sorry!
though it exposes a fundamental problem we discuss from time to time ...

@cer Bug: when the FIRE popup is shown, the page can scroll a few pixels below the bottom

@JanDvorak Eh? screenshot?

hold on

The problem is that the SmokeDetector / MS links don't have any class attributes...

12:46 PM
I can do that without Fire, too
if I try to scroll down the window, Chrome will display a few pixels of grey below the actual contents
("down" as in try to move beyond the end of the text, which physically shifts the contents of the window upwards)

With the scrollwheel?

I have a touchpad but yeah, basically
sorry, I thought I had a screen shot but it looks like the screenshot normalized (redrew?) the window
it's kind of weird because you can't see the mouse cursor, but I was holding the mouse button down while dragging the contents upwards when I snapped that

Hm, so, that's not FIRE?

@tripleee I can't achieve that view, even with a touchpad

this is Chrome on MacOS ... I'm guessing it's a feature of the underlying rendering logic

12:58 PM
For what it's worth, I fixed FIRE for when the MS link is missing... Checking in in a moment
You should now be able to update.

Uncaught ReferenceError: GM_info is not defined

"In coal"?

4:25 PM
Yes...?
I suppose I should have cc'd you on that
I don't know if the problem is in FIRE or Coal

FIRE assumes you're running a userscript plugin like Greasemonkey
GM_info is set by those plugins, and contains the script's metadata

That's weird because it worked yesterday, what changed?

I started using GM_info
It allows me to keep the "version" to the script's metadata, instead of having to update it in two places

Undo's Raspberry Pi received failover signal.
Restart: API quota is 9958.

So we just need a script that comes first with something like GM_info = {script: {version: ...}}
