besides, without an always-on unlimited online connection, most of what sets the PS4 apart from the PS3 in terms of features is unavailable

You don't get updates, you don't get cloud, you don't get videos, you don't get streaming, you don't get social, you don't get this, you don't get that.

In a way, even if the PS4 won't be online only, it's certainly designed to be always online

I know it's speculation, but it's speculation that's consistent with everything we've seen today
