Also, kind of odd that rivers don't flow, but I guess that's a requirement with current minecraft water physics, or they probably wouldn't be very long
@sjohnston yeah I have no issues with seperate modes.
I think its terrible he made his money off of this game, that works, but yet goes on to immediately start another project and allocate most of his devs to that new product.
MC has tons of potential that its missing out on due to him being so controlling over it, and only letting one other dev touch it.
@ArdaXi well Im not angry that he made money off of Minecraft I think its great, he made it popular so idk kudos to him. But it would be like Coke releasing Coca Cola, and instead of producing more bottles of CocaCola they just switch over to Sprite.
@ArdaXi But as @CruelCow pointed out, Deus Ex is region locked (yay, but really no yay) so I have to figure out how to get the games to you all outside the US
What I hate is when a game doesn't include a soundtest, so listening to cool songs from it involves getting deep into really annoying levels just to hear nice music, which means you can't easily switch tracks if you feel like it.
If you however take its code, modify it a bit, make a game engine and sell that to development companies, sure, it's allowed, but I'd still think it's the wrong thing to do.
I want to play PoP Sands of Time but when it starts it shows a box saying "video card not supported". I have used 3D Analyse to play many games which I could not play before but I am still not able to play Sands of Time with it. Does anyone know the 3D Analyze settings needed to play it?
Actually, the Prince of Persia series brings up another question. In tags, how are we differentiating between the 1980s Prince of Persia and the 2006 Prince of Persia?
@GraceNote I guess it depends on the popularity of the game. Keep in mind you could still make an ad-hoc account and DIY. It's a bit risky (hence the ad-hoc account) but...
@CruelCow Okay good. I was mostly concerned that like, there's an Austria Region and you have to buy the copy in Austria for it to work in Austria. I am both unfamiliar with regions and how region blocking works, so, again, pardon me being the mayor of Dumbtown :)
@badp Yes, I do have primitive tools (I also have Audacity) to accomplish the job, but that requires proper timing and depending on the game it may not come out in a desirable fashion.
e.g. Germany and Austria (?) have more rigid laws on "violent" "content", so they may require a different "Low Violence" version of the game altogether
@badp Germany yes, Austria no. However few companies bother to localize a violent and non-violent version so often Austria gets the cut version as well.
So I got Touhou 7.5: Immaterial and Missing Power, but suddenly I've been thrust into a world where 12-year old girls wearing strange outfits and wielding dangerous weapons scream japanese at each other before firing off gratuitous amounts of magical projectiles in all directions. What's going on...
For the first time I have picked up 'Icewind Dale' after playing Baldur's Gate 1 & 2. At the starting screen of Icewind Dale it gives you the option to create up to 6 starting characters.
Is this how the game is supposed to be played? Are there still NPC's throughout the story line that en...
Actually, I guess the actual ironic thing is that by tagging a question with untagged the question becomes tag. I think I need a philoshoraptor line for this
