Is the TV show Gotham on topic? In season 1, only 1 episode contains material that is seriously sci-fi in nature, which according to current guidelines only makes the episode on topic, not the serious. Or is it ontopic because batman makes all batman related works blanket ontopic?

How much of Star Wars was planned originally? Rewatching the OT over the weekend highlighted several areas that seem like they have been retconned from one film to the next - for example, Darth Vaders name. It's originally given as his name, with Lord being his official title and Darth being his first name, which makes a lot more sense than his real name being Anakin Skywalker thanks to the fact that they hid Luke with the last name Skywalker, on his home planet with his only living relatives.

Also, I have no reason to believe that Darth Vader was originally planned to be Luke's father.

Or that Luke and Leia were intended to be siblings.

In fact, almost everything that happens after Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope seems like retcons on top of retcons.

We later learn that Luke has never met his father, being has he was born after Anakin fell to the Dark Side. So the original film seems to imply that Luke did at one point know his father.

Asin, the Jedi Knight in him died that day.

Ben is on the planet from the moment Luke is, so it's likely that Ben knows Luke. This doesn't imply that Luke knows his Father just that Owen knows of the story.

Also, in support of my theory that Darth Vader was originally just a name, not a title - "A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father." Darth Vader is given as a name, not a title.

@CandiedMango Also, in the final duel between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, Ben refers to him as Darth, not Anakin or Lord Vader. Darth, like it is his first name, that he is refusing to call him Lord.
