it's the same reason i don't like games with full story lines - i'm an open world kinda guy. minecraft gives me a headache because of the graphics, but when i found a skin that doesn't do that, it's a game i could (and have) spent hours on.

So the best method would be to take 20% of the time to write the app and another 10% of the time to surround problematic stuff with try{} catch (){} to hide the bugs. Finished a to the outside good-looking piece of software in 30% of the time.
