I haven't gotten around to getting a Twitter account. It took me forever to get a myspace account, and then forever^2 to get a Facebook account.

Atwood has more followers than Spolsky

I find twitter useful

facebook less so

In my limited experience, Atwood tweets get better traffic than Spolsky.

I do not like FaceBook, although a friend got engaged yesterday to a girl he met through mutual friends on FaceBook.

Maybe I need more friends.

I don't own any yet, but I'm looking at the .40 Glock or a .45. I think that's the G26 or G27 or something. Also looking at a .45 HK. Eventually I'd like to learn how to shoot a shotgun properly.

The HKs are almost a grand though, but the Glocks can be had around here in Scottsdale for about $500 to $600 in good condition.

I've heard good things about the HK45. The Glock is a good all around "starter pistol". It's easy to maintain, not overly complicated and all that

I was enamored with 9mms for a while, but apparently some have cautioned that 9mm might not be enough weapon in some cases. I'm thinking of a soft case .45. Don't want a high grain bullet to go slicing through the house and into the neighbor's.

So a high caliber, low grain soft jacket would be nice.

See, I've been cautioned that in a court case hollowpoints look bad against you. They can apparently be seen as "tactical munitions" or something, so if you shoot an intruder, it's one more thing to be worried about in case a weird civil case gets brought up.

I think so. AZ is one of the best states for gun fanatics to live in. You don't even need a permit to conceal a weapon.

.40 S&W is a nice hot round

The 9mm will have less recoil, and with the right ammunition is perfectly acceptable for personal defense
