Qatar flies Edinburgh => Doha then Doha => Melbourne for example whereas British Airways requires me to go Edinburgh => London then London => Singapore then Singapore => Sydney then Sydney => Melbourne

Yeah it's retarded that random middle eastern airlines offer more direct routes from UK to Australia than either the UK or Australian flag carriers
