But really I'm just doing close vote reviews. :p
Jan 6, 2017 19:27
The Archeologist badge is for edits though.

@AlexandreVaillancourt RE: No, I'm not trying to get a hat. Do you mean that I'm editing a lot? :)

"Guncrab" would make a great game name.

Gets my recommendation too. If you watch it with others, note that some scenes will make prudish friends squirm (mainly thinking toothbrush scene and Nadeko's exorcism). It has lots of puns that don't translate, so knowing some Japanese or watching with someone who does is most fun, but the dialogue is so fast you won't notice if you miss them.

@Lokkij head tilt hype! :D

Jan 5, 2015 22:45
prepending a space works too
Jan 5, 2015 22:43
I doubt that explanation. They could just compile-time convert it to multiplications.
Jan 5, 2015 22:41
so .&. for bitwise for example
Jan 5, 2015 22:41
LiveScript has dots around everything bitwise
Jan 5, 2015 22:35
But... interactive staging is the shiznits!
Jan 5, 2015 22:34
by doing things without consulting git-status first :p
Jan 5, 2015 22:33
Otherwise I keep accidentally committing stuff I didn't realise was staged.
Jan 5, 2015 22:33
I have a summary of git status show up in my shell prompt as little coloured lights.
Jan 5, 2015 22:31
oops, log not list
Jan 5, 2015 22:31
and super easy to fuck everything up with
Jan 5, 2015 22:31
rebase is super handy
Jan 5, 2015 22:31
I use commit, add, reset, diff, list and rebase.
Jan 5, 2015 22:30
The confusion with rarely used commands might arise from how they're a bit inconsistently named.
Jan 5, 2015 22:28
vim also appends the newline on save. TIL.
Jan 5, 2015 22:27
zsh puts it on a newline but appends a weirdly highlighted %-sign to indicate the line wasn't newline-terminated
Jan 5, 2015 22:25
Seconding @Icy. I've been advised it before but never understood.
Jan 5, 2015 22:24
← uses unicode arrows
Jan 5, 2015 22:23
a lot
Jan 5, 2015 22:23
maybe if you squint
Jan 5, 2015 22:22
@OMGtechy Also a village in India. Man, the word is a confusing place.
Jan 5, 2015 22:20
@ErikE Looked it up out of morbid curiosity: Parquet is from French and approximately "par key". Khaki is "khaah key" and it's from Hindustani apparently. [ pronunciation demos: parquet | khaki ]
Jan 5, 2015 21:33
@ErikE Oh English. :D
Jan 5, 2015 21:22
@ErikE Reminds me of "Nobody. Understands. Punctuation.". :)
Jan 5, 2015 21:19
@ErikE Wow, one learns something every day. Thank you!
Jan 5, 2015 21:14
@ErikE Repasting comment for reference: I assume you mean my edit here. Could you cite a source? The Oxford English Dictionary disagrees, though I'm probably just being pedantic. (We should probably talk in chat actually.)
Jan 5, 2015 21:14
@ErikE I'm here :)

@Josh Looks like the Winter Refactor question isn't frontpaged by the popularity metric anymore. Could we pin it with a "featured" tag to keep it there until it ends?
Dec 30, 2014 03:41
I just wanted to motivate myself to clean up a tag.

Dec 21, 2014 13:11
Yey :D
Dec 21, 2014 13:11
@Ali.S I hadn't thought of anything like that. Maybe you should write an answer. :)
Dec 21, 2014 11:26
@SpartanDonut If you've come up with anything even a slightly more detailed answer for that snapping-to-surfaces question I'd be happy to bounty-award that. (Just a reminder. There's 3 days left of it and the existing answer is boooriiinnggg. :D)
Dec 21, 2014 11:22
I mean, the previous pictures.
Dec 21, 2014 11:22
@AttackingHobo Reminds me of Gunkanjima.
Dec 15, 2014 16:59
@Tyyppi_77 i.imgur.com/PtzpD47.png there's an edit link
Dec 15, 2014 16:49
Here's an attempt at a canonical "Where can I ask open-ended questions instead?"-reference. Have I missed any big sites from the list?
Dec 14, 2014 21:28
If someone knows Unity, this question seems answerable from results in this Google search.
Dec 11, 2014 22:04
Or... vigorously enough
Dec 11, 2014 22:04
Never happened to me. I guess I've never played a fighting game seriously enough.

The allowed dimensions are either 300×250, or twice that.

I made a Game Dev SE community ad: http://meta.gaming.stackexchange.com/a/11656/66844
Thoughts?

This looks like a duplicate of "Why is using a salt more secure?"
