I absolutely suck at both Heavy and Soldier. I'm... meh at Demoman and Medic.

I'm OK at Pyro and Scoot.

I think I'm one of the few people who, if my Spy tricks aren't working, I'll change my loadout around.

Clearly that doesn't help versus Pyros, but it does against other classes.

Q: Murdering Citizens

Yeah, they released new weapons and achievements since I played.

Valve has been on a set item and melee weapon kick lately.

I do wish they'd remove the hat requirement for the Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Sniper, and Spy sets.

Engineer is the only class without an item set that has a set bonus.

Q: Doors and mounts...

I just started a Knight and mounted my Horse upon reaching level 2. I noticed you cannot kick doors while mounted. What's the best way to go about traversing doors while mounted?

System message has a maximum lifetime of 48 hours. During election time, there are up to three messages on the main Q&A - one at the start of the nomination phase, one at the start of the election phase, and if there is a primary there will be one at the start of that. All 3 last for 2 days

Additionally, during the actual election phase, all eligible voters will receive a banner thingadongdong that suggests that they vote. So even if you miss the system message during the first two days, you'll only miss out on the election if you're gone for the entire duration.

The per-site-meta has a special system message that lasts the entire duration of the election... except for Gaming. On Gaming, some foolish pro tem kinda obliterated the system message while testing out some stuff, and so we have to deal with recreating it every 48 hours. Ehehehe

How long have you been playing NetHack?

I have an incredible PC and here I am spending my night playing roguelikes. I've ascended millions of times in games like DoomRL but NetHack is so hard for me.

Hm... I don't have a date on me, but I've ascended 4 times. Nethack came out a lot easier for me than ADOM did

Knight was always the role I've wanted to ascend with first, haha, but I've actually never succeeded in one. Farthest is near-end-game before I goof up

I get into it every now and then. I'll browse the wiki and get myself super excited to try and ascend. I'll try for a few hours and then offclass to something like a Wizard.

Never liked magic and I'm trying to ascend with a Knight too.

Change is cool every once in awhile though.

I can't remember it for the life of me and the wiki doesn't say anything as far as I know but I believe he could dip a level or two earlier than a Valkyrie or he had a higher chance of it occurring?

(Valkyrie and other Lawful classes that can acquire Excal, that is)

The whole concept of the Knight's jump and jousting with the lance is so cool. I hear he's the only class that can kill certain bosses without taking a single HP of damage?

Jousting isn't Knight specific, but lances are so rare that it pretty much is Knight-only, but yes, Jousting is a viable method to kill a lot of nasties without taking a single hit

Q: How would you know if you maxed out EVs on one stat or for all?

I already know that the max EV points a pokemon gets is 510, and that the max for a stat is 252 so you get 252 for 2 stats and 6 on another. Oh god... a giant bat in DLVL 3. He turned to flee, I killed him and forgot my code of conduct. Got called a caitiff by my god while simultaneously confused from the bat. Hit my movement key and killed my horse...... only to level up to CLVL 4.

I was playing Apollo Justice at the time. I was hoping that Capcom would announce the North American street date of Miles Edgeworth's second game while I was replaying my way through the series, but... I guess not.

Given that it comes out in Japan this week.

Started playing Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil again, and sure enough, I immediately started running into the "short ammo because they want you to use the gravity gun clone" thing again.

This is even with checking PDAs for the weapon supply locker combinations.

Q: Underground vs. Overground bases

I'm not looking for one or the other because that is subjective instead what are the good points and bad points of each? e.g. Overground are easier to see. Underground had less access for mobs to get inside.

Q: Steam on Mac: how do I move Steam games to another location on disk?

Steam apparently keeps Steam games in my home directory of all places. That makes it very difficult to back up my home directory without also backing up Steam games (I have only one: Civ 5). How do I tell Steam to install and store games in a legitimate location (like the /Applications folder)?

Q: Is there any way to get past the glitch in Crash Site when in the plane

My other half is stuck in "Crash Site" in Black Ops. Having made it up to the plane she can't get the China Lake to appear and continue on. Having roamed all the way around the plane nothing triggers. Is the only option to restart the game?

It maybe that these numbers don't exist, but it seems like you just have to count the number of valid unique open-ids across every stack exchange...

I really liked the skill system in Dungeon Siege. I liked the concept that you started out as nothing and could become anything. It's something I wish all RPGs would do rather than forcing you into a class.

The fact that they are streaming gameplay is just a consequence. The user really wants to stream what they are doing on their computer.

It's really easy to take gaming completely out of the question.

Which, in my mind, means it doesn't belong on Gaming.

@Shaun Except that Games are almost always going to involve some compositing layer, such as Direct3D or OpenGL.

@Shaun You have additional problems with games, resource usage is more important and some DirectX stuff interferes with screenshots, so a program for streaming your Desktop might not work for a game
