Okay, so core is now automatically granted at 60 feedbacks over 30 days, and removed if that's not met. Happens at 0200UTC.

@ArtOfCode That's pretty neat.
Maybe provide a way to see your feedbacks for last 30 days (and totals)

@WELZ hit your user menu, my feedback

It doesn't let me select a date range (or give me totals...) Though I know I make it anyhow, just wondering

waves goodbye to core privileges

@ArtOfCode Hmmm... Having it happen automatically feels game-able. For instance, getting it in one sitting would be easy (once you have reviewer), without requiring you to do anything other than go through SD reports which already have 2+ feedbacks and just submit the same feedback without thinking about it.

8:57 PM
@Makyen Getting it in one sitting ain't an issue. Just piggybacking off others is where the ton of bricks comes in

@ArtOfCode The combo of being able to get it w/o actually needing to even try to think about what feedback to give was the point. Having a human in the auth loop implied that they had at least seen the person demonstrating some level of thinking and responsibility. OTOH, I haven't looked at what the different auth levels are and what they get to do, so it may not be something that matters.

@Andy yeah that's messed up

@ArtOfCode I think 60 is kinda low. What about 60 and 5 (?) must be the first feedback on a post? I personally won't consider myself a core member here, but I just stop by and send feedbacks/flag every so often.

@thesecretmaster you're core
in that we trust you to retract autoflags

Oh, is that all that core is? Nevermind then. I'm not even signed up for autoflagging (iirc)

9:08 PM
@Makyen the main thing core gets you is more autoflags

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Potentially bad keyword in body: I need you valuable help & feedback by Lee on softwareengineering.SE
tpu- by K.Dᴀᴠɪs

we can always manually revoke (or grant) core if necessary, this just takes most of the work away

@quartata and also the code he provided.

@quartata If that's the use/criteria, it sounds like it's just a gauge as to the person's ability to be contacted via chat to remove autoflags. So, some auto-determination would be a good thing. Perhaps the time-frame should be reduced (e.g. to auto exclude someone when they go on vacation, and include them when they return).

@Makyen Why chat? Can't a userscript notify you wherever you are? Event out of chat? Just a thought.

9:17 PM
@Makyen core is intended to be what it says on the team - "is a core member of the team" in that they've made non-trivial continuing contributions to what we do

@K.Dᴀᴠɪs Got one that runs on my phone?
semi-serious - I'd love to be able to run user scripts in chrome on my phone

@Andy I was just thinking about this yesterday.

@Andy Good point - and I agree that would be nice

Would be nice to have!

ain't there a way to send mobile push notifications from a website?

9:21 PM
@ArtOfCode That's what I generally thought the intent was, which is why I was concerned about auto-inclusion/exclusion based on a single criteria, which would be gamed by some people.

9:25 PM
@Andy Looks like @WELZ has identified a way to do so. You can also run userscripts in Firefox for Android.

@WELZ That's not tampermonkey for Chrome. That's a whole new browser that you have to install

Then I guess you have to do this (firefox)

But, if you're able to use those, why not just have a tab open to chat?

Um...and it was last updated on February 27, 2013 on Android 2.2

Or create an SO chat that's protected. All requests can fwd there. I receive chat notifications to my SO app that already exists
Not sure if I receive them for SE chat. Never get ping'd there xD

9:29 PM
@WELZ You can install either Greasemonkey or Violentmonkey in Firefox for Android. (I haven't actually tried using them, but both are available and installable).

You do. The android app covers all three chat servers
