I was just wondering why the userIDs are so small.

isn't negative values going to cause strange bugs?

MS can compare negative numbers with positive numbers perfectly fine ;)

Guys, do you know there's any difference between spam and R/A flags?

@iBug The only difference is in the flag name. They both come in the same moderator queue. I'm not sure if moderators see the difference though

@Ferrybig Nope. There's another.
2 spam-deleted answers will cause Community to protect a question.
but R/A won't
I think that's mostly useless, given our existence.

10:35 AM
@Ferrybig Yeah, they show up differently in the queue.
There's one more difference - spam flags will feed posts into the LQP review audit system.

We've always been flagging rude posts as spam, either via autoflagging, or something like FIRE.

@iBug Whaddya mean?
@iBug right...

10:38 AM
Our using of the flags makes them no more difference.

There's still a difference in the SE system.

6 spam flags and mixed S/RA flags?

It doesn't explicitly discount R/A flags.

I think in the SE system, "spam deleted" means "deleted post with at least 1 valid spam flag"

Which is why some SO mods got so annoyed at people flagging r/a as spam; because then it showed up as an audit.

10:42 AM
I think we have the official statement of SE staff that we're fine to just cast spam flags on everything, so I wouldn't bother about that too much. They say we can/shall do it that way, so handling this internally is their task.

I'll post an MSE discussion later.

Also how does a rude post harm review audits? I don't see a problem

@ByteCommander People don't like offensive posts being used as audits.

I'll post an MSE discussion later.

It's... hard... to argue in favor of writing an algorithm and making a bot spend time calculating which of the two flag types to use when they are, in actuality, the exact same flag. It's not even Coke vs. Pepsi, it's Pepsi vs. a second bottle of Pepsi that's using a different but still valid Pepsi logo.
