@ArtOfCode Aw Ruby.
This language is growing on me.

Rails and ActiveRecord make everything stupidly easy.

One last question before I go home. When using the Ms API by feedback type, if I pass fp, does that get me ONLY fpd posts, and excludes fpu, fpu-, fp- posts?

ActiveRecord?

@Andy correct
match type is exact equality

Ok. I can make that work. One small request... "but there are other valid types", can those other types be listed somewhere in the wiki?

9:03 PM
@Andy literally any string is valid

Hmm, random thought: should all-caps answer be turned off as well? metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/reason/74

valid as in "anything you think may have been recorded at some point"
ignore, ignore-, true, trueu, the silent forms of all of those, false, falseu if that was ever a thing
things that won't work are the aliases, because Smokey converts those into the actual feedback types before it sends them to MS

I would think trueu === tpu etc.

It does
but afaik it doesn't get converted

@hichris123 User whitelisted (221773 on ru.stackoverflow.com).

Can you do a select distinct on that column in the DB and post the options?

Does the "vandalism" novelty get converted to tp-?

@JanDvorak yep

@Andy cc @Undo because I don't have DB access

9:06 PM
@hichris123 I don't think these should have been FPU'd. Maybe add an "edited" feedback type?

@Undo, can you do a select distinct on the feedback type column in the MS database and post the results? I'm looking for a list of all available types for the types parameter to the Posts by feedback API end point

and direct vandalism to this

@JanDvorak why should they not have been fp?

@ArtOfCode they deserve about the same level of attention as NAA, which we do have a feedback type for

@JanDvorak where'd that qualification come from?

9:08 PM
They deserve editing

NAA's at least get deleted. All-caps just needs an edit.

@ArtOfCode Is this done with regex magic? If I said to smokey "falsehood of course" would that match "false"?

@DavidPostill not sure about whether there has to be a space after it
but false xyz would definitely match false

Ah. OK
Second opinion please. Is this spam? superuser.com/questions/1138787/…

Third opinion please

9:19 PM
@JanDvorak Yeah, I'm on the fence :/

spam
guy has no other activity on his account that I can see ... best case its a poor question worst case its spam
also, even if it is legit ... superusers is a odd place to post it
