animuson, I queried MS for some stats on this. On graphic design alone, in the past 8 days, we had over 10 confirmed instances of spam posts (all very inappropiate images) abusing this ability to inline images that are immediately offensive to users that click them. And these are just the ones that SD caught. — Magisch 1 min ago

so basically I now have two copies of config, and one of them tells you to ping me because something went wrong
I killed the backup and brought it online direct again, but I forgot to reset the config

can't help feeling that there's some sort of injection vulnerability there, but maybe I'm wrong

Even if one had access to config, worst thing one could inject would be a fake metasmoke host, then harvest the key.... still, minimal damage.
