Why don't they just get rid of the Spacebar while they're at it? Replace it with something that makes a fart sound? Ugh. I guess it's part of the overall war on general purpose computing. You don't want the general public to have access to high performance computing.

@ArtOfCode I can !!/pull as in the bot will do it if I tell them to
But I've been told things like !!/pull are for devs

@Magisch nah
pull is for anyone who understands what they're doing with it

In that case, it was your commit
Is that safe?

Yeah, should be, I just didn't pull because it was a system rather than an ops commit

hm, okay
somehow I doubt I'm going to have enough resources to run two Rails servers and smokey...

Initial version of SmokeAPI (a python wrapper for MetaSmoke's API) has been released. (PyPI) (docs) (GH)
2
Install via pip: pip install smokeapi
Quick Example (from the docs)
	from smokeapi import SmokeAPI
	SMOKE = SmokeAPI('your_api_key')
	posts = SMOKE.fetch('posts/feedback', type="naa-")

has been release? :)

This would pull back the latest 500 (by default) posts marked naa-.
It should support Python versions 2.6 through 3.5. There are no unittests right now (I know, I'm horrible).
Feel free to test, contribute, etc.
@ArtOfCode Just had to sneak in there, didn't you? ;) Interrupting my copy/paste flow

Heh
Of course

And now that that's done...off to do what I needed it for! TO THE IDE!

1:28 PM
Heh. Only 3 weeks later :) What are you planning on?

Oh, one last thing, for those that followed the discussion yesterday about feedback types: I updated the Wiki to include the most common types MS has seen, so you don't have to guess

@Andy I read that 'TO THE DIE!' o.O

Dom
!!/notify 11540 music.stackexchange.com

@Dom You'll now get pings from me if I report a post on music.stackexchange.com, in room 11540 on chat.stackexchange.com

@ArtOfCode I have a couple ideas on how to improve detection of spam, but I needed to be able to test against stuff we've already seen. And...since I was overly ambitious, we got a complete Python wrapper out of this, instead of just something that can read search.json

1:34 PM
@Andy I won't complain :) Have a docs PR, too.

Merged and RTD updated

You want token

Ah.
Speaking of docs, I should probably go write some more API docs...

@ArtOfCode They've been helpful :)
I do have a suggestion though. (Eh...personal preference maybe)

?

On the main page, could the route be included like the SE docs have? This saves me a click when I know what I want, I just don't know the exact route syntax

Sounds reasonable
Lemme write up docs for all the new routes that haven't got them yet, then I'll do that

Sounds good.
