How to reset the token at Google Chrome:
1. Open developer tools (when you are on a question page)
2. open the Application tab
3. Select Local Storage
4. Select metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com
5. Click the writetoken in that list
6. Press delete
2
How to reset the token in Firefox:
1. Open dev tools with a question page open
2. Run `xdLocalStorage.removeItem("fdsc_msWriteToken")` in the console
3. When you flag a new post, it should propmt you for a new token
2
@Ferrybig Nice. I think your issue may be linked to an odd behaviour of the script I noticed before
That is, failing to load
xdLocalStorage.removeItem returns undefined ?
Whut
@Magisch good
Now wait for some spam
@angussidney Do you know how to manually store the token in Firefox? That might fix my issue ...
11:10 AM
@DavidPostill hmm. not entirely sure, might be worth pinging art about that idea. I'll have a bit of a search around though
@DavidPostill See this. it looks interesting. Maybe something likexdLocalStorage.setItem(key, value, function (data) { /* callback */ }); will work?

@DavidPostill maybe try calling this line with the script installed and running? github.com/Charcoal-SE/Userscripts/blob/master/…
it will probably need to be modified though
I wonder how exactly this auth works
Does it take the write key you gave it and hash it like a password and then just compare hashes?

@Magisch my (probably wrong) understanding is: the US sends it's MS API key to MS and asks for an authorization token. MS then asks the user for their permission. On authorization, MS gives the user a key which the script remembers. All further requests to the MS API under your username are accompanied with the auth token to show your permission.
When it reaches the server, MS compares the token with the token on file and allows/disallows the API feedback. Of couse, MS can revoke the token so that all future requests will be denied
So Art basically just revoked all keys by mistake, and hence none of them are authorized anymore
Restart: API quota is 7286.
This is the line that fails:
`xdLocalStorage.setItem("fdsc_msWriteToken", "my token here")`

SecurityError: The operation is insecure.

OK. Disabling all plugins :/

@DavidPostill Instead, try adding https://cdn.rawgit.com/ofirdagan/cross-domain-local-storage/d779a81a6383475a1bf‌88595a98b10a8bd5bb4ae/dist/scripts/xdLocalStorage.min.js to the whitelist in most of them
@DavidPostill Do you use any proxy that might strip away some headers?
@Ferrybig No

@Magisch re: "how exactly this auth works" - it's oauth. You authorise the app, it generates a random SHA256 hash as your write token, and a 7-digit hex code. Once you give the app the code, it can use the code to get hold of the full write token
Should be some docs about the auth flow here
@ArtOfCode Interesting
And what do you do with the write token? The creating feedback page doesn't mention using it

@Magisch, What's your expected out come of this question? Several people in this room can provide example of automated/semi-automated processes as well as various experiments to move semi-automated to fully automated. But, I'm not sure if that's what you are looking for.

@Kyll I wondered how long it would be until someone noticed my little attempt at humour
@Magisch pass it as token on any requests to a write endpoint

Hi @Pops! Question, while you're here: what's the rough roadmap for the integration project? I'm not particularly worried about timelines, but what's the next step? Getting a PM involved, discussing more with someone(s)?
@ArtOfCode so the integration of sd with SE is confirmed?
@AshishAhujaツ sort of roughly yes? SE seems to think it's a good idea, so now we've just gotta actually do it.
@ArtOfCode me to schedule a chat with Tim in the next couple days, because we've been working on different bits of quality stuff and may possibly have new info for each other.
@ArtOfCode Will that change what we do here (in Charcoal HQ)? Or will it be transparent?
@Pops cool, cheers
@DavidPostill Ideally, we're going to change as little as possible of the existing workflow.
We still need all you people, and I don't see any advantage in changing the workflow and making things more complex or confusing than they already are.
3:24 PM
@ArtOfCode Thanks.

@Andy Its probably not a very good meta. I wanted some opinions on reasonable limits of automation. I value all of your' guys'es opinions very much, but I'd like to hear from some non-power users, too.
I was actually thinking "well surely you shouldn't just let a bot flag for you" and then I recalled how well your comment flagger bot was doing this, so I wanted to hear some more opinions.
If you want to know the primer - I found an old SEDE query to identify possible sockpuppet voting, and ran it, went through a few posts, flagged some I found to be pretty blatantly sockpuppeting.
