@Wipqozn Proof!
@Wipqozn is to blame for everything.
4

I would play multiplayer with you guys, but Clicker Heroes is single player

Yay forced work from home day!

How terrible

@MBraedley How does that happen?

2:03 PM
They should make up for it by allowing you to work from home some other day as well!

@Frank Lost power due to a gas leak, and power won't be restored for another 3 hours or so.

@MBraedley Lost power at work?

@Frank Yeah

Because working from home without power sounds counter productive.

@3ventic Getting a free game for something I would want to do anyways? Yes please!
@MBraedley I was wondering if that would happen to you

2:05 PM
GOG Galaxy is essentially Steam #3, is it not?

@Wipqozn Yeah, we aren't in the evacuation zone, but a third of the park is without power

Alien park?

@Frank Yes.
They haven't released a lot of details, but what they have released makes it sound like that.

@Wipqozn No thanks, then. One digital distribution platform is enough for me.

@Frank But it's GOG. It's pretty. Also GOG is an awesome compny.
but understandable.

2:16 PM
I'm probably going to get it just so I have a reminder that I actually have games outside Steam

@Wipqozn It's DRM free. That will be the selling point versus Steam.
@Gnomeslice approved! ;)

@3ventic a reminder that you have more games you don't play you mean?

@JasonBerkan Yeah, that too.

@KevinvanderVelden Yes

GOG is just an all around awesome company.
I hear that if you kill a GOG employee they bleed rainbows.

2:17 PM
I guess my dad might want to play some of the games I have on GOG

@JasonBerkan DRM Free is good, but having to remember yet another username and password is not. I can't even remember my existing ones, and when I have to type them in, it's a crapshoot if I can remember which password I used.

@Frank LastPass is good for that.

@JasonBerkan Does that work for things like PSN?

Boo, I missed drama

@Sterno You'll have all the drama you'll ever want in ten years.

2:28 PM
@Frank You could get a password manager for your phone, I guess.

@5pike LastPass has that, apparently. I don't know if that's just for logging into phone sites, though.

@Frank Not on the console. I just auto-login to my PSN account. Not much of a security risk unless someone steals the console.

@JasonBerkan I just got a PS TV; it can't remember credentials that I don't.

@Frank IDK. There are tons of password managers, though, so one should be able to do that.

Though with regards to GoG Galaxy, I'm unlikely to use it for games that are also on Steam, just because I'm already invested in Steam and DRM free means very little to me.

2:33 PM
I don't believe Lastpass can auto-log into sites on your mobile, can it?
I have tried it in the past, but I didn't like it.

Premium, but sort of

What do you mean?

It's a cost-money feature

What feature? Mobile Last Pass costs money, if that's what you mean.

@Cerberus Yeah, probably not, but it's a place to store your passwords, I guess. Beats resetting it.

2:37 PM
True.
For copy-pasting.
I believe Last Past worked with a special browser on Android. You could share a page you want to log into to their browser, I suppose. You wouldn't want to be using their browser for normal browsing, presumably.

Straw poll - hard boiled eggs - do you:
- Eat them cold
- Eat them at room temperature
- Eat them piping hot
- What the krutz who the krutz eats krutzing boiled eggs

@GraceNote 1 or 3, hard boiled eggs ftw

@GraceNote krutz

depends on why I've hard boiled it

2:43 PM
@GraceNote krutz

@GraceNote room temperature or cold, but I usually mash them with mayonaize and put them on sandwiches

if accidentally, then I'll eat it as soon as it's not too hot to go in my mouth.

@Chippies ugh ugh ugh

@GraceNote Take out the yolks, mix with mustard powder and other spices, fluff it up, put back in the egg, eat cold.

I assume deviled eggs don't count then in which case krutz

2:44 PM
@GraceNote 1,2 and 3

@GraceNote All of the above.

@fredley IT'S GOOD STUFF, MAN!

@Chippies omlettes are ok, fried are kinda okay, but boiled? ugh

if I'm adding it to food, depends on the temperature of the food.

Poor @GraceNote, so many pings for one simple question

2:44 PM
if it's a scotch egg, then cold.

@Unionhawk If that's what you do then devilled eggs are a thing.

@fredley Soft boiled eggs are good.

@KevinvanderVelden That's rather the point of asking, is it not?

@StrixVaria ugh

@StrixVaria never, hard boiled

2:45 PM
Hard boiled is the worst way to make an egg unless you're going to turn it into a deviled egg.

My recipe using hard-boiled eggs: put in time-machine, remove when soft-boiled, eat warm with bread, half-melted butter, and salt.

@fredley not a fan of omelettes, I do make good fried eggs though. Boiled are good with mayonnaise

@Chippies mayo is awful

Egg salad is also an acceptable use of hard boiled egg.

@fredley you're awful

2:46 PM
Eating a hard boiled egg by itself is pretty awful.

cold eggs are the only thing worse than hot eggs

@Chippies I like mine with sweet mustard.

but mayo has limited uses

cc @Americans

Eggs are terrible in most scenarios

2:46 PM
IS THIS TRUE?

@Wipqozn Yup

@Batophobia You're a monster

I willingly only eat boiled eggs as egg sandwiches

@Wipqozn There's a severe lack of sugar-coated cereal

Eggs rock.

2:46 PM
Eggs are one of my favorite favorite foods.

@Wipqozn Indeed I am, but Eggs are still worse
Unless said eggs are in something like a cake

so, before I came to Canada, my wife and everyone she knows used to fry eggs with no spices or anything and complained how fried eggs are lame

@Chippies What spice do you fry with?

do all Americans/Canadians fry their eggs with no spices or anything added?

59 secs ago, by StrixVaria
Eggs are one of my favorite favorite foods.

2:47 PM
@Chippies You fry it in butter or grease, and add salt and pepper. What else do you need?

@Chippies Salt and pepper are required.

A mod disagrees with you, @Batophobia, therefore you are wrong. QED.

@fredley lemon pepper and garlic powder are my top choices

Why fry eggs when you could fry bacon?

@fredley Bacon is gross.

2:48 PM
@Wipqozn Sounds like mod abuse

But then why fry bacon when you could grill bacon?

Only thing worse than eggs is @Wipqozn
3

@Chippies Never tried lemon or garlic powder. Sounds weird, but I'd try it. I like both those things.

@Batophobia No. Mods are the absolute authority on all things, and their powers extend into RL.
5

Eating eggs is basically killing unborn children. Thus, I approve. Also - they are delicious.

2:48 PM
@Batophobia I will agree that I am inferior than eggs.

@StrixVaria I also do bbq sauces when I have them, be creative with your eggs!

@MartinSojka Unfertilized eggs only, please.

fried eggs are AMAZING if done right

Can someone remove Wipqozn as room owner so I can add him?

Ketchup goes well with eggs. I don't do this all the time, but on occasion it really hits the spot.

@StrixVaria relish is nice with fried eggs as well
assuming you don't hate relish

@Chippies I do not like pickles.

@StrixVaria You deny the chicken the fun of copulation?

@StrixVaria your loss, pickles are great!
but seriously, lemon pepper and garlic is a must for fried eggs

@StackExchange Well this is just completely out of control now.

2:50 PM
everything else is optional

@Chippies I can't even imagine how that would taste.

On a sidenote: can we stop talking about food? I have ~30 minutes left at work and I'm already hungry for a while...

@Wipqozn No it's not.

@fredley good question

2:51 PM
QUICK EVERYONE PING @Arperum WITH PICTURES OF FOOD
3

@Chippies Do you flip the eggs when you fry them?

@StrixVaria I am not good at describing flavors, but lemon pepper adds very nice taste to it, garlic powder is more subtle, but also nice

@Unionhawk I would have done that earlier but @fredley stopped my upload of the file midway through due to adding me as room owner.

Q: Is it better to focus a Great Prophet on opposing civilizations or your own?

EnigmaThere are two main cases I can think of: Say you are just starting out and you don't have a religion at all. Would it then be better to use it on your own cities primarily and then other civilizations after? Say most of your cities are already converted. Same question: would it be more benefici...

@StrixVaria depends on if they're frying well. If they're not burning on bottom and the top is frying fine, I won't flip, otherwise - flip

@Wipqozn contains olives all over it, olives are terrible.

So much to star, so little time

usually I do flip though

@Arperum Olives rock.

2:52 PM
@Arperum You could not be more wrong.

@Arperum YOU MONSTER

@Chippies Fair enough. Usually I'll put something over the eggs so the top can cook without having to flip.

@StrixVaria like what?

@Wipqozn I can agree on using olive oil, but that's where I draw the line. I never liked them.

2:53 PM
@Chippies A pot lid or something.

@StrixVaria Over-easy all the way. One quick and short flip and on the plate.

45 secs ago, by Unionhawk
@Arperum You could not be more wrong.

@Wipqozn Eggs over easy are best eggs.

@StrixVaria ah, lids usually make everything very wet

2:53 PM
@GraceNote Any of 1-3

Best breakfast.
CC @LessPop_MoreFizz

and doesn't really guarantee a well fried egg, in my case

olives are like big peas, without any sweetness

@StrixVaria ok, this actually looks tasty.

@Arperum You should visit New Jersey!

2:53 PM
then they're marinated in saline solution

@MattЭллен I don't like peas in nearly all cases.

olives are an acquired taste

@MattЭллен olives are salty

@StrixVaria That doesn't look like an eggs benedict

2:54 PM
@StrixVaria Deviled eggs are awful.

That's best breakfast.

all food is awful unless you like it

fried egg on a slice of bread is good breakfast

@Frank Canadian bacon is bad.

@MattЭллен everything is awful unless you like it

2:55 PM
Hollandaise sauce is a gift of divinity to breakfast.

@StrixVaria now I want to eat grilled ham/cheese sandwiches

@StrixVaria Yea, if you want ham for breakfast, make it country ham.

@StrixVaria I have half a plan to go to the US once (for 70000 tons of metal, a cruise with 40 concerts on it). I should extend that visit to visit some other parts of the country/continent to meet a couple people from this place.

@GraceNote I will agree with this. Eggs benedict is really good, but I really like the portability of a good porkroll, egg, and cheese sandwich.

@StrixVaria Can't anti-star

2:55 PM
@Chippies but everyone likes things!

@MattЭллен except those that don't.

My portable breakfast consists of a single boiled egg.

Also, I don't know where the lines for the types of boiled eggs are.

@Chippies those stuff likers? they're weird.

@StrixVaria That has bacon and ham.

2:56 PM
@Frank Tasty #2 right there.

Mine probably lean more towards medium if that is a thing.

@MattЭллен and we don't like them! right?

@StrixVaria Yes, this I will agree with.

@Frank Bacon is fine. Canadian bacon (which is like crappy ham) is lame.

@Chippies never met a stuff liker who was a thing I liked.

2:57 PM
@StrixVaria what the hell is Canadian bacon?

@StrixVaria You'll have to give me some American bacon for me to know the difference.

@Chippies Crappy ham

@Chippies Crappy ham.

@OrigamiRobot I prefer a slight runniness on the yolk but it ultimately still classifies as hardboiled I think, but I think I gather what you mean.

@OrigamiRobot so like, not bacon that you fry?

2:57 PM

@StrixVaria ah, so just ham

@Chippies No, crappy ham.

@Chippies It's technically ham.

Danish Bacon was a brand under which Danish bacon was sold in the United Kingdom. The product had "Danish" stamped on the rind between wavy lines. The Danish farmers producing Danish Bacon and their co-operatives were represented by Danske Slagterier, whose UK subsidiary was the Danish Bacon and Meat Council. Danske Slagterier was absorbed into the Danish ministry of Agriculture and Food in 2009. The majority of Danish bacon is produced through the farmer-owned co-operative Danish Crown. The co-operative system has low costs because of the scale (25 million pigs per year) and the elimination of...

@StrixVaria "After cooking, contains up to 12% of a solution"... wat?

2:58 PM
But it's not the same as if you pick up a good ham.

@StrixVaria I don't think this is actually canadian bacon, despite the name.

@GraceNote I'm not experienced enough with ham to know which ham is crappy and which is not
I just know that some ham tastes good and some tastes crappy

@Frank This is what Americans think of when they hear the words "Canadian bacon".

@StrixVaria I don't think it's technically ham.

@Chippies Something Americans eat, oddly enough. Canadians call it back bacon, and it is hardly used in any cooking around me.

2:58 PM
I don't like the thin slices of ham that people fold a hundred times

@GraceNote Mine aren't runny, but they definitely don't have the gross chalky consistency.

It tastes like ham and may as well be ham, but technically speaking, I don't think it's ham.

@StrixVaria It's not like we call it canadian bacon. We ask for bacon, we expect bacon, not ham.

@OrigamiRobot That'd definitely be hardboiled then.

@Frank I understand that. There is a thing, "Canadian bacon", which so far as I can tell actually doesn't have anything to do with Canada, other than the word used to refer to it.

2:59 PM
Put eggs in water, heat until boiling, remove from heat and cover for 10 minutes. That is how I boil eggs.

@OrigamiRobot That's medium.
