Anyway he is free to marry other women too. Lots of men in the bible had multiple wives. Kinda like this lady I know who has multiple dogs. When one dies she gets a new one.
@DavidWallace Read the whole thing, the first 5 books at least, and make note of every time a woman is mentioned. You'll see the picture emerge.

It's a bit disappointing that the conversation about the Bible's opinion of women had no female participants. I never thought it was against women, but either way, unfortunately it can be and has been misused by unscrupulous people.
