I sometimes get confused whether to use in or at. For example,
Children were not at school yesterday, because yesterday was a holiday.
Children were not in school yesterday, because yesterday was a holiday.
Is there a rule of thumb to not confuse in and at?
I am a little confused about which preposition should be used here as in the title. I prefer to use in office. But how about the other one? Are both correct or not?
Say the 24th is a Monday and you say that you’ll be doing something the weekend of the 24th, meaning the 22nd and 23rd. Isn’t that incorrect? I would say the weekend of the 24th means the 29th and 30th.
