Proposed Q&A site for students aspiring to get admission into an Engineering College in India.
Around 1.3 million students write the Indian Engineering entrance exam each year. This site aims to answer their queries regarding colleges and the admission process.
I don't see any of them working on the SE model. Bar certain extreme cases "My lover keeps beating me with a saucepan, is that normal?", all questions will have multiple correct answer and be subjective by definition.

A: "Yes. I beat mine with a saucepan all the time" A: "No. Being beaten with a saucepan is not healthy" A: "Yes. I like being beaten with a sauce pan" A: "No. You've confused 50 shades of grey with BSDM" A: "It depends on the type of suace pan" A: "Maybe you should try a whip or crop"
@terdon I should rather think ten would be more appropriate than tenga is matters masturbatory. I don’t normally say sir or ma’am when discussing these things outside of brothren.

@Mitch there are multiple characters, so when one goes to the loo they cut away to somebody else who is busy rapelling down an exploding skyscraper or something
@JSBձոգչ Well, the shows that I mentioned does have the blood and gore but they have like one or two themed storyline and heavy character backstory and emotional. I like that kinda shows. It's like emotional drug.
I mean, Game Of Thrones is hard to keep up with, very heavy on the blood and gore and sex but the characters and storyline is rich in flavour.
@JSBձոգչ the other way around is what life is about. The fireworks are just about to go off and then some two year old says "I gotta go. I really gotta go" and so July fourth is spent inside a not totally horrific porta potty trying to touch as little of the inside as possible while explosions a going on about outside.
@Zoe All I heard of that was "... and blood and gore and sex and .... rich ... flavor"
oh crap, I just wrote a mail with "qu'en" instead of "quand" (in French), like a "wain" instead of "when", which makes me think my brain is really damaged (not too formal email fortunately)
yes, that's weird though, it wouldn't have happened before, nevermind :) (I have some reasons to doubt about my brain state now, seen a medic yesterday)
@cc If you were actually crazy, you would not worry about these things.
@FumbleFingers If you had your way, we’d be stuck with the Grand Canon instead of the Grand Canyon for that particular cañón, which I’m sure even you will see as infinitely superior for a canonical transliteration. — tchrist33 secs ago
A Grand Canon is like a Great Fugue, but less interesting.
This is not a valid Google N-Gram: the one for right-most is actually using a binary minus to subtract incidences of most from those of right. See here. — tchrist32 secs ago
@MattЭллен Would you recognize an accent from the Fenlands if you heard it, or even just a general Norfolk one?
So here's my thinking: Russia has a motherland and Germany has a fatherland. I wonder if they ever got together and bred, what the result would be. (@RegDw?)
OK, is there a simple Unix command for removing for the contents of a directory using only the address of the directory without removing the directory itself? I'm looking at the man page for rm and drawing no conclusions.
-R Attempt to remove the file hierarchy rooted in each file argument. The -R option implies the -d option. If the -i option is specified, the user is prompted for confirmation before each direc- tory's contents are processed (as well as before the attempt is made to remove the directory). If the user does not respond affirmatively, the file hierarchy rooted in that directory is skipped.
-r Equivalent to -R.
-d Attempt to remove directories as well as other types of files.
There's the theory of civil disobedience, eg, to improve society we should go to war less, and one way to help prevent that is to have fewer funds for the government so break the law by not paying taxes. Is that the kind of thing you're thinking of (but not exactly since you don't want to say)
Now you're standing there tongue tied You'd better learn your lesson well Hide what you have to hide And tell what you have to tell You'll see your problems multiplied If you continually decide To faithfully pursue The policy of truth
