I don't want to scare everybody away.
Have you heard of "google"?

@badass this is the secret to dividing by zero: 1 divided by 0 equals 1 divided by zero. all the rest is gravy

so infinity equals infinity?

1/0 isn't infinity. that's just silly
it's an imaginary number

badass???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

just like the square root of -1
call it oi
now you have all the other complex numbers
and all the complex other complex numbers
and so that's that
no more consternation

11:04 AM
@IceGirl I would say "writing."

I think you don't want help me again ok no problem bye

so all real number can be written in the form (x + 0i), all complex number can be written in the form (x + yi + 0oi)

misinterpretation?? means?

I'm sure if @JasperLoy were here he'd have something to say on the matter :D

all complex numbers can be written in the form x + yi

11:09 AM
but that ignores oi, the other imaginary number

all hyper-complex numbers can be written in the form x + yi + zj

and so on...

you say j, I say oi
lets call the whole thing off

Milieren is a nonsense verb.
Assimilieren got split, is all.
It's funny.
See, I suppose it's mainstream now.

Ah, OK.

Fig. in my own opinion. Mary: What do you think of all this? Tom: From my perspective, it is just terrible. Bob: From my point of view, this looks like a very good deal. Bill: That's good for you. I stand to lose money on it. Alice: From where I stand, it appears that you're going to have to pay a lot of money to get this matter settled. Sue: I'll pay anything. I just want to get all this behind me.

@RegDwigнt Oh, it's actually pretty clever. I get it now. Thanks.

Yeah. It just occurs to me you could do a similar thing in English actually.

I was slow to understand the deep grievances of women. This was because, as a boy, I had envied them. Before college, the only people I had ever known who were interested in art or music or literature, the only ones who read books, the only ones who ever seemed to enjoy a sense of ease and grace were the mothers and daughters. Like the menfolk, they fretted about money, they scrimped and made-do. But, when the pay stopped coming in, they were not the ones who had failed. Nor did they have to go to war, and that seemed to me a blessed fact. By comparison with the narrow, ironclad days of fat
please read it I want to ask some questions about it

@IceGirl You should have got to know some gay men then. They liked art, music, literature, etc. In some ways they out-womaned women.

@IceGirl Waaaay toooo loooong

whenever you read it tell me

Don't try hanging from a rope until he does.

Women only like literature and music before college so they don't have to become writers or composers later on. Men allocate their resources differently.

@Robusto I am curious about that "alternative ending" that's supposedly to go on the Blu Ray.

The 2013 Colorado floods are an ongoing natural disaster occurring in the U.S. state of Colorado. During the week starting on September 9, 2013, a slow-moving cold front stalled over Colorado, clashing with warm humid monsoonal air from the south. This resulted in heavy rain and catastrophic flooding along Colorado's Front Range from Colorado Springs north to Fort Collins. The situation intensified on September 11 and 12. Boulder County was worst hit, with recorded September 12 and up to of rain recorded by September 15, which is comparable to Boulder County's average annual precipit...

@RegDwigнt It's a classic Pigeonhole Principle problem. A really complicated arbitrary useless fact that is devised specifically to invoke it. Lots of backwards thinking (You can't just directly start attacking the problem). Each of the individual facts are 'obvious' , which is to say if you know it already it's obvious but if you don't it ain't (like squares mod 100).

Rebracketing (also known as juncture loss, junctural metanalysis, false splitting, false separation, faulty separation, misdivision, or refactorization) is a process in historical linguistics where a word originally derived from one source is broken down or bracketed into a different set of factors. It is a form of folk etymology, where the new factors may appear meaningful (e.g., hamburger taken to mean a burger with ham), or may seem to be the result of valid morphological processes. Rebracketing often focuses on highly probable word boundaries: "a noodle" might become "an oodle", ...
In statistics, a meta-analysis refers to methods that focus on contrasting and combining results from different studies, in the hope of identifying patterns among study results, sources of disagreement among those results, or other interesting relationships that may come to light in the context of multiple studies. In its simplest form, meta-analysis is normally done by identification of a common measure of effect size. A weighted average of that common measure is the output of a meta-analysis. The weighting is related to sample sizes within the individual studies. More generally there ar...

In 1889 he had begun but abandoned a concerto in C minor (the same key, incidentally, in which he would later write his Second Piano Concerto).
