@Cerberus half of the Netherlands used to be some exotic Caribbean islands. But then you decided that cold rainy European islands with windmills are just as fine.
Oh, so by that you meant "half of the Netherlands used to be some exotic Caribbean islands" I should have read, "another part of the Netherlands than described used to be some exotic islands somewhere else than described"?
My officemate is Russian and he swears constantly, and I always know if he is IM'ing me from his iPhone because suddenly he will use the word "ducker".

@KitFox May we make another one? My goal for the poetry room was to have the opportunity for people to make my favorite poetry. Collaborative poetry. To allow people to work in a group to make really awesome poems. I've had the pleasure of writing collaborative poetry on many chat rooms and it's been an amazing experience.
@oerkelens And now I'm researching whether Molukken (from Arabic muluk "King") could be related to Malaysia and Malacca (probably not: Malacca is probably from a certain tree, melaka, while Malaysia is from the language Malay, probably after some hill).
@meer2kat I understand your desire. I feel that our moderation is insufficient to allow you to have an ongoing separate chat room. I'd like to suggest that you use the Writer's chat room for the purpose. I visit there regularly and that kind of activity would be very welcome, and encouraged even.
@meer2kat More fun if they were being played by Russians at the time. See who could complete some Scriabin or Tchaikovsky sonata before coming to rest.
