I have this working code. I was wondering how I can optimize it. Really, I think I need to.
bmScreenBuffer is a global Bitmap
Is there anything I can declare globally so it does not need to be be created over and over, this function is called around 30 times a second.
Contents of drawScreen()...
@DanPantry Sounds familiar, I'm trying to find a domain name for OLog, but the most interesting one is already taken by some random church, and some other one is on sale for $2000 :|
Written this code and now its correctly working would like to get feedback on how to improve it.

Why am I not just using a Pivot Table / Database?
a) I've never ever used either before. And I don't have time to learn how before this project needs to actually be finished.
b) The final output is going to be a report for the Company Directors. As such, the flexibility of choosing which bit...
Is it fine to retry a web service call like this in Python? Would there be any scenarios the exception might not work the way we expect it? I expect it to continue only if it's fine, otherwise just retry, and if that doesn't work, just throw the error out.

While I was writing this I had some thoughts and questions going through my head about if I was doing this in a good manner. For instance, is it good to use a StringTokenizer to loop through the words in the line I copied from the Scanner's input? Thank you for the feedback!

@Mat'sMug, Could you review the comments and editind done on the "Retryting a web request in Python" question above here?
There has been two minor, but crucial edits on it. 1) Changed a req to request in urlopen(req), and now 2) OP has added ? to end of service.com. The code doesn't seem to be what he originally has used. Am I just to picky, and should we let it slip, or how should we handle it.
Both responses given are still using service.com(as in original post), but then again the req has been changed to request by 200_success.
What do you suggest as a proper action? Should I retract my close votes, and remove my comments? It is kind of out of the gray now, but it has been edited a lot...
@EBrown That's a book I really should get. The thing is, I'm poor and I don't like that much reading eBooks. I prefer real paper, it's easier for the eyes
I've been trying to get an externalized YAML config file to work in Grails 3.0
Finally had a working application, turns out it merges after the application has been loaded, which in turn meant that the datasource could not be reloaded anymore
So now I finally got a way working ot merge the config files before the application boots
@Mat'sMug Yeah I heard their "new" coffee was pretty good. The thing is, I drink half-cofee half french vanilla, 'cause I'm not used to coffee yet :p That's not an option at Mc Donalds :(
