Which had to wear today... decisions, decisions...
this ^^^ one too....
Monkey's got our backs! ;-)
Funny, considering monkey is the one that most commonly makes the typos.
I resemble that.
In my defense, they are normally typo's, and not actual misspellings....
oh no pluralization conflict in chat

15:06
@rolfl Usually typos, yes ... ;-)
Are you sure they are not misspellings?
Is not a typo a form of misspelling?
Guess it depends how technical you want to be about it!
definition of misspelling: The act of spelling incorrectly
My motor function is not as accurate as my spelling.... so, normally, they are motor-neuron misfires, not cognitive errors
15:09
Which means a typo is misspelling
I can spell the word, not type the word.
My most common typo: putting the space in the wrong place, so I do things like:
tha tword.
or doe snot
ewwwe?
doe snot = does not

@rolfl Wha td oyo umean ?

@SimonAndréForsberg that looks like Java, not Coffee....
that' sit exactly
Was that intentional, or did you do it again?
When the Durham Bulls (baseball team) have bases loaded, the crowd chants "Bulls hit!"
Intentional... ;-) But, the faster I type, the more these things happen

@Pimgd i see...

Q: Slow Javascript code to get Taxonomy terms from Sharepoint

Esteban VWe have the following code which takes about 5 seconds in a modern computer, however the application is also executed on old PCs with Windows XP, and in there it takes 5 minutes to load. And, you need people who have not yet voted for it ... which on CR is harder to find....
... dang, I was really proud of myself for shorting that statement
until I realized that -1 would get populist
I have already +1 answers on that question, for example.
  var totalDeductions = deductionList[i].AdvanceAmount +

                      + deductionList[i].MealsAmount
                      + deductionList[i].OtherDeductionAmount
Either of these are also options
I dunno which one I prefer
I think the first thing I'd do is do a temp store of deductionList[i]
I have also seen....
some programming languages will do an array access for each time it's listed
and that just hurts performance
          var totalDeductions = 0
                      + deductionList[i].AdvanceAmount
                      + deductionList[i].CarriedForwardAmount

                      + deductionList[i].EPFAmount
                      + deductionList[i].FineAmount
                      + deductionList[i].InsuranceInstalmentAmount
                      + deductionList[i].LoanInstalmentAmount
                      + deductionList[i].MealsAmount

To everyone (especially trusted users): no need to cast delete votes on spam/offensive posts. Just cast the appropriate flag, so that the post can eventually be deleted, locked, and censored by Community. If a mod comes by and there's already some spam/offensive flags (less than 6), they'll take it from there.
@Jamal I thought it was also useful to downvote so that fewer people will see it (e.g. it will be pushed down on the list). Not so?
@Jamal What exactly is wrong with doing both? Don't we want such things removed ASAP?
While understandable (I used to do it), it's actually counter-productive as fewer people will see it to flag. On the other hand, if at least one spam/offensive flag is active, a moderator will see it. So it's probably not a big deal.
wow look at this it is morning again
@SimonAndréForsberg Yes, and maybe I'm just being a bit more aggressive with such content. Maybe in this case (the latest offensive answer), more trusted users saw it before everyone else.
17:05
@Jamal I don't know about all that. You guys are around most of the time, but not always. Personally, I don't want garbage like that hanging around for people to see. If I can hide it from lower rep users, I want to.
I'm with ducky on this one
I understand. It would be nice if such posts were auto-flagged for mods, but it seems that SE doesn't see it as a good enough feature. Yet, they still let Community flag posts closed without comments...
> At Stack Exchange, we believe moderation starts with the community itself
> And ends with alcohol.

Again, I'm with ducky on this one

Oh, actually I know: downvoted answer deleted.
Ok, our explanations are similar to the letter.
200_success too.
Saw that!
So it takes 6 spam flags to auto delete it @Jamal? I guess that's part of my concern. There are times of day when we couldn't get three delete votes from regulars let alone 6 flags on something. I'm going to think on an answer to that MSE question. Thank you.
@RubberDuck I've discovered that question just today, actually. I may also throw a bounty on it, but not just for the hat (though I don't see it getting more than just some additional votes).
