In Naruto, when the medical team starts to heal wounds, they use their chakra. Does this only heal and restore chakra, or does it also help regenerate the skin cut by kunais?
@Washu both are okay, but if @Deidara-senpai adds a brief description to each type, it would be a better answer, but if @JNat adds more examples and descriptions, his answer has the potential of being pretty good too.
@Eric The reason probably Apple skates clear of antitrust scrutiny for Macs and iOS probably has to do with market share and how it conducts business. On the desktop and notebook side, while Apple may be seeing its computer business grow at a faster rate than the overall PC market, but Apple is not a dominant player.
@Krazer But on tablets and phones it does the same. Same with Google's Android (though not as big of a deal since manufacturers include their own browsers).
On the mobile side, the success of the iPhone and the iPad means Apple has a much stronger presence… but Android is still the industry leader.
But even if the iPad continues to be the dominant tablet line for years to come and regulators eventually decide smartphones and tablets are separate markets, Apple probably still not be subjected to the kind of antitrust scrutiny Microsoft has seen over the years...
Microsoft drew the ire of regulators not just for having a dominant position in the desktop operating system market (which not illegal and technically neither is a monopoly), but for abusing that position.
Among other things, Microsoft cut deals with computer makers to dictate what software could and could not be included on new systems, fiddled with its APIs so Internet Explorer and other Microsoft applications would have an inherent advantage over competitors, and used its Windows monopoly as a distribution channel for Internet Explorer with the intention of wiping out competitors like Netscape.
With Apple aside from one exception, they aren't really capable of committing these abuses, since they don’t license their operating system, so it can't really strong arm partners who make iOS devices...
With Android being the the dominant mobile OS, it's difficult to argue Apple deciding to bundle capabilities into iOS, like Photo Stream and iCloud, for instance, constitutes an abuse
@Eric I do agree the with you that the exception here is the built-in Safari Web browser. While Apple does permit third-party browsers for iOS like Google Chrome, Opera Mini, Atomic, Dolphin, and iCab for iPhone and iPad, Safari outperforms the competition by being able to tap into the high-performance JIT compiler in the Nitro Javascript engine.
Although web apps got level ground to play with in iOS 5, third-party Web browsers have to rely on a slower JavaScript engine or (in Opera's case) outsource Javascript to a remote service.
Also Apple won't approve a browser that includes a JIT compiler of its own, citing security concerns and noting that iOS is more secure than Windows, OS X, and Android. Apple only gives Safari a pass because Apple can perform rigorous QA on it as part of iOS. But this is mean that Safari has an inherent advantage on iOS that competitors can't match and that's eerily reminiscent of the API "adjustments" Microsoft made to favor IE on Windows.
@Krazer Good point, I wasn't satisfied with the answer but somehow couldn't "feel" what was missing. I will add some more description to that later, gotta go to bed now.
now the discussion is no more about belifs I am not there to proseletyze but to claim my right over jesus and all things related to him how can the catholic church have the right to become authoritative on who jesus was? or even protestant The only solution can be is to allow both sides to use their scriptures to narrate "his" jesus
On my computer at home, I have one that's something like 8000x3000. It's too large to upload onto many websites due to ImageMagick being unable to thumbnail it.
@LoganM lmao. I'll check filesize on mine when I get home. I also have some calendar images, but I don't know if they count since they have the actual calendar month printed on them as well.
@Mysticial Whose idea was the Thrills and Spills room?
should we include an emergency link to this snippet? javascript:$('img').filter(function() { if( this.src.substr(-3).toUpperCase() === 'GIF' ) return this; }).replaceWith('<img src="http://i.imgur.com/vMgrL.png" />');
> Cheese A 2007 British study showed 67 percent of people who ate one ounce of certain cheeses before bed reported wild, fantastical, and sometimes life-changing lucid dreams
@LoganM The simulator finished. 1,486 pages linked to one loop. 5 pages linked to another. 1,540,950 pages linked to dead ends, and 456,259 linked to broken pages. Oddly, my program only calculated 1,997,211 paths out of 4mil+, so I might have to debug and rerun it.
@Eric I guess that's something I wasn't considering. Wiki probably has lots of dead end pages, but they don't get linked to very often, especially not as the first link on the page. In a random simulation you'd only need a few to have a significant effect.
had premium account now for 2 years, like $55 a year
along with 20+ currently airing shows a season, they have (had) entire shows like Galaxy Express 999, Zeta Gundam, Gintama, etc
which are free
hulu and funi streaming, not so much. with hulu plus you still get commercials and (haven't spent a lot of time with this) I can't get 1080p streaming fro mfunimation
@Eric Honestly I'm more worried that our quality is dropping. Recent questions have not been over a very diverse range of anime, and some of them were borderline NC IMO.
@Eric The trouble for me is, most of the stuff I want to ask about is really obscure. Questions about plot holes in VNs with fewer than 1000 sales aren't likely to get answered.
@Mysticial I'll try one with one of the better series in a couple of days. I need to test the waters before I start going to games that I might be the only person outside Japan who's played them.
@ShotgunNinja Yup. Doujin works can easily have only a few hundred sales. In fact, most of them do, but you've very likely never heard about any of them.
