And where I live so far we have always had less than 10.000 daily cases of c***d-19. And anytime I check for new info of how much it was in new day I remember this and while the website loads I am staring and sternly speaking "more than 10.000 this time? come on! I dare you!" :/
@lila Well, over here we just spend a sh*t-ton of tax money on an investigation to tell us that a BLM protest during a corona lockdown was indeed a 'sloppy' decision :/
At least now the 'it was totally okay to protest and ignore all the rules because we should make a problem of everything that happens in America' people no longer can make that excuse :D
I just haven't made up my mind if it was really worth paying taxes for it, it seems to me people had already mostly decided that anyways.
The same people that were shouting they should be able to protest are shouting that the king was wrong departing on a planned vacation to Greece :/ I doubt they'd cancel their own vacation, after all, corona isn't real!
I'll just stay inside, covered in blankets, this winter, and spring too if it takes that long for all this blow over.
@Tinkeringbell I usually use my little sister for this kind of things. I just tell her "you can buy stuff for yourself too with my money" and it does the trick :p
@Ael My brother is the only one I could ask, but he's generally of the same mind as my mother about me eating snacks: It's bad. And I know it is, so it's probably for the best not to find a way :P
@CaldeiraG friends are unsafe rn. And I don't there are PO boxes near.
@Tinkeringbell Ah yes, that wouldn't do then. Also, I just want to point out that "snack is bad for physical health" is true, but sometimes it's good for your mental health so don't feel too much guilty for wanting to eat those. We are currently in a stressful situation, so it makes complete sense to want snacks
@Tinkeringbell Ah yes, it's not a healthy coping mechanism, but in case of "emergency", as a "short-term solution", it would to the trick. But yes, if you keep feeling like stress eating for several days in a row and you believe that it will still be this way for several days/weeks, you should definitively try to find another coping mechanism
@Ael Most of me wanting snacks is just me wanting snacks. I don't think there's much stress or boredom involved: I can be superbusy doing something superrelaxing like crochet and want snacks.
@Tinkeringbell In any case, for most people, there is always a reason why there body wants something. And knowing the why usually helps replacing that thing by something else. This to say, I don't think you are "weird", you might just don't know why you want some things
Meh, like I said, I could already be doing pleasurable things too. It's not that either I think, or I'd be wanting snacks a lot more consistently at certain moments and not others.
It's okay though. The whole snack thing was a joke, we might be taking this a tad too serious XD
Well if we're talking food, let's talk about good things ;) Mom actually made a nice lunch, a small baguette with lettuce, some kind of yoghurtdressing, smoked chicken and apple slices :D
I forgot to take a picture, but it looked really nice too.
@Tinkeringbell That must have been nice. I do like sandwiches, though I often find them disappointing when I actually eat them. It's like I like the idea of a sandwich better than the actual sandwich
@ArthurHv Ah yes, that's one of the two big reason why I don't like restaurant anymore (the other one being that sometimes I am exausted and would rather eat in 15 minutes instead of a 1h)
@Tinkeringbell Do you often eat sandwich at home? I must say, in my family (and in France in general), sandwich are for picnic and picnic only
Ah yes, with that much things inside, it wouldn't really be convinent for an outside lunch (and honestly, it doesn't really look convinente for an inside lunch either x) )
bread with sprinkles sound so much foreign to me. You really mean these ? d1f7geppf3ca7.cloudfront.net/origin/408882/… I think I never saw that outside of some cakes and doughnuts
We do put cheese or meat or cheese and meat on sliced bread from time to time as well, but I've personally never done so in combination with chocolate :P
I'm not sure where the whole sprinkles thing came from, but it's easier to get the last sprinkles out of a carton than having to scrape all the chocolate paste out of a jar...
But as you see, it has 'white' swirls. So they added the pink to the 'regular' ones so you wouldn't confuse a huge white spot in a chocolate package for the regular kokosbrood, I think.
@Tinkeringbell I was gonna say that "orangette" are delicious (but they do tend to be "costy") but your orangette have a weird shape Oo (like slugs x) )
@CaldeiraG It's sad :( whole world is getting hit hard by the second wave of the cockroach, I'm so tired of this pandemic of microscopic cockroach because I'm extremely drained by remote mode of life.
We have new neighbours in our building. That itself (moving houses) is a "highly unrecommended" thing in India where COVID-19 is loose. Some things about them:
They tell us that there are just two people in the house, two young women who work as IT professionals. And yet, we see at least three-f...
In my site of origin I've just read a joke in the comments in question about cat that stopped using litter box:
It says that someone supposedly cleaned the litter box of his friend's cat for a week straight as soon as the cat did his business. After a week, the man put his own human-sized feces on the litter box, making the owner think that cat held it for a week and then took a massive dump :D
If you think that this is disgusting then tell me and I will delete it from this chat.
@ExtrovertedMainMan Okay I apparently forgot how to do tags, but this one could use eyes because it's a 'what should I do', and it's not even focusing on the person itself as much as making others do something.
We wanted to share some of what's been happening on the network lately behind the scenes. We do our best to keep fires from being visible but that's not always possible and when it happens my goal is to be as open as possible.
In short, we've enabled captchas for anonymous users when they search Q&...
@lila Yeah, I guess it only works for 'small tags', if you want to tell someone "Hey, your answer might be there already". Or, if you e.g. get an expert on Pets in some very exotic animal, you can let them see there's a tag for it and perhaps there's unanswered questions or interesting things or something...
I know on SO tag descriptions can be very big too, so perhaps they're using it to go say 'read the tag description' XD
I have read a few post and tried to get a few ideas on what to do but I am still at a stand still. My girlfriend of many years now gets mad at the smallest things possible. At the start of the relationship she never became overly mad we would discuss the issue and try to correct it but as time we...
Okay sleepy sleepy good night sleepy sleepy turn off the light, see you tomorrow and tomorrow I want to see 0 new cases of c***d-19, make that happen please, I repeat 0 new cases of the cockroach.
