Q: What did the "anteater-like creatures" cut from Star Wars look like?

dlhI have a Star Wars minutia question. In an early version of the screenplay for the first film there were "anteater-like creatures" on the streets of Mos Eisley on Tatooine. From the "third draft, August 1, 1975" [link] ... Several robots guide a small herd of anteaters down the street. In the "...

Q: Can you identify this animated short film about an alien devouring a planet of anthropomorphic bananas then travelling to Earth in a flying saucer?

GerryI am trying to identify a CG or stop-motion animated short (possibly part of a series) that I saw on television in the early/mid-1990s. The running time was probably less than 5 minutes and there was no dialogue that I remember. An alien humanoid creature (I am fairly certain it had two arms and ...

Q: Book about miniaturization and reading thoughts

akostadinovI've read a book in the past about I believe an American scientist that has found a technology to read thoughts (eventually to connect brains). But his research didn't go well. He was taken to Russia I believe to help extract the thoughts of a person with a dead brain as it turned out. By miniatu...

Ah, now I see why the roomba rules (which answers SE automatically deletes claiming the Community user deleted them) are well-hidden rather than advertising. It's because you can stop the roomba by self-answering them accepting your answer. We don't want posters to know that when they post low quality questions that should be roombaed.

Q: Looking for a short story, highest flight ever

ZenzizenzizenzicRead in the 80's, felt like a 60-70's era Sci-Fi. The story is on a high altitude plane or craft that has a malfunction, and the flight crew cannot get the craft to go back down. They make an announcement saying the company is testing the "highest flight ever" and go back to discussing the issue...

Q: movie where two spies are returning home, but have a virus that the enemy put on them as a weapon

Felipe MobusI am trying to find this movie I watched a long long time ago. @b_jonas Yet if the answer is bullshit posted only for gaming the system, then they're going to get deleted anyway. I doubt this is really an issue commonly occuring.
What I did do once to stop roomba from deleting my question was leaving a comment, as there is a >1 comment rule for the 1 year schedule.

Q: Lost Novel? A group exploring a space where reality is distorted or malleable

Seldon2kThis story is unusual in that it involves a group of Humans exploring a space/location where the laws of Physics break down. They were mainly Scientists, possibly with protection from an armed security team. As the story progresses and they explore they are killed off singly and in groups. They g...

Q: Have the lyrics of Ace combat 0's soundtrack "Zero" been translated?

Mahmoud SalaheddineI've been listening to it for quite a long time, and always wondered what the lyrics are translated too. I do see some draw comparisons to Ace Combat 5's soundtrack "The Unsung War".

BCLCFor non-criminals: Does serving the night's watch have to be really for life + no leave because 'leave' is desertion or whatever + take no wife + father no children + etc ?
