Q: I need to know a name of an animated movie I watched when I was a kid but I can't remember

KuresaIn the movie there was a race of dwarves and it was known that they don't have a heart, when emptiness started to take over and turning things into stone a group of I think 5 dwarves decided to go on a quest for a magical heart that can turn things back to normal. A young elf tags along on their ...

Q: science fiction dystopian future society

grand guignolI recall a story from the seventies with a character named The Grand Guignol "Guig" and a host of other borrowed identities...where a group of people skirt round sites of urban decay...and one of the group is a woman who gets around totally nude and would "verbally cut to peices anyone who even a...

@Stormblessed I'm not sure that's visible to normal users; it's not listed as one of the things that becomes available for higher rep.

@DavidW Well you can see what a user favorited at least

Sure, I'm talking about some UI that expands that list in the question view, like we can see vote totals - I don't think that exists.
You could probably write a query for it, though.

@Stormblessed Check every user’s profile.

@Alex Very realistic
Firefox is cool
They have a responsive web viewer in Developer Tools
It (and a user agent switcher) are making my Meta much easier to get images for
@Alex if you thought you'd find a time zone... I redacted the times from my Chat screenshots
So still a lot of square miles I could be in

1:13 AM
@Stormblessed What Chat screenshots?

@Alex In my soon-to-be-posted Meta

@Stormblessed A timezone wouldn’t narrow it down much. There’s like three timezones in your country, no?
@Stormblessed You can start with the obvious ones. Jenayah has like 600+ favorites of things to fix so vheck her profile first. I have like 3 favorites for questions I want to get around to answering, so look at mine last.

Hm, I have to brush up on my United States geography apparently.

(3 in the big block of states, two for Alaska and Hawaii)

1:19 AM
Eh, I was basically right.

@Alex Hey, .659% of people in the country are in one of those zones!

@Stormblessed Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska & Hawaii, no?

@Stormblessed Yeah, but not you.
Also, you didn’t redact your starred messages.
Now I know that you starred my comment about tje Future Works close reason.

@Alex If it's still in the list on the right it's possible to figure out anyway.

@Alex how do you know?

1:30 AM
(or at least one of the users is, I think. I don't really remember what I was doing.)
@Stormblessed Yellow star, instead of white.

@DavidW different thing I was responding to

@Alex how do you flag a tag to be removed? It's a typo with no usages.

@DavidW automatically will poof
What tag?

@Stormblessed Oops. Got to stop trying to multitask.

1:34 AM
(had to fight with my phone just to enter that!)

@DavidW If it's never used it will delete automatically. Otherwise you have to initiate a burninate request on Meta.
@DavidW How so?

Autocorrect.

@Stormblessed Because if you did live there then you would have known about the timezones.

It was on a question, but I fixed it to . So it did get used.
Which means it's in the history of the question...

But once it has no more uses it will delete automatically.
Unless someone adds it to another question in the meantime.

1:37 AM
@Alex I'll slap them down if they try!

@Alex well I could be from Hawaii and forget that Alaska has a different time zone from the west or think that the west has the same time zone as me if I were in Alaska

@DavidW Sounds intimidating.
@Stormblessed Unlikely.
Plus it's just obvious.

Sounding is about the only way I can be intimidating, so I'll take it. :)
Besides, you got those 2, you forgot Mountain.

All the more likely that he was originally thinking of the other four without Alaska and Hawaii, and thus does not live in either of those places.

Of course, technically speaking, AZ isn't on the same Mountain time as the rest of the US, so that's one more
@Alex Population math makes that the most likely anyway. But we also know he doesn't live in Arizona!

@DavidW There are people n Arizona?
@SmokeDetector That's the second false flag on "serum" today.

@Alex can you tell smokey to chill?

You have to do it in French:
And if you quote that, we'll fulfill this:
Apr 8 at 4:03, by Stormblessed
Next time, we need a fourth person to quote that

@Alex I've been there, and it looked like there were people living there. It could have been a Potemkin village of course, or everybody could have been a tourist.
Or aliens. There's always the chance of aliens in those parts.

@DavidW Or the desert sun could have made you hallucinate?

1:47 AM
@Alex I dunno. Occam's razor suggests aliens is more likely.

Occam's razor suggests that Occam's razor is incorrect.

Oh, Storms also isn't from Beantown! We figured that out last night.

Which leaves... Colorado.

@Alex Well, if you're going to try to slice things that finely you're definitely going to want a nice sharp razor.

2:01 AM
@DavidW I suppose Murphy's razor is the one that's never sharp enough?

No that's the one you always pick up with the sharp edge facing the wrong way.
And cut yourself with.

2:16 AM
A razor that's never sharp enough sounds like a Perfectionist's razor.

Actually, a razor that's never sharp enough sounds like scratching a blackboard, or something.

2:40 AM
@Alex Holy carp, what's your skin made of?!

@DavidW Metal.

@Alex :facepalm: Robot, right. Sorry, forgot.

At least I didn't have to explain it...

@Stormblessed Constantine is always part of the Arrowverse?
I don't watch much TV, so I know very little about the Arrowverse.
The wikipedia article on the Arrowverse makes it sound like Constantine had its own strand, and the appearances of Constantine in the Arrowverse are considered crossovers.

Jan 10 at 19:32, by Alex
Since we established yesterday that I'm a bathtub.

@Stormblessed Yeah, bathtubs are probably more ceramic than metal.

@DavidW The Wikipedia article on the character is called John Constantine (Arrowverse)
I don't have a conflict of interest; I reached the rep. cap for edits

@Alex Here I was about to comment that bathtubs are usually enameled steel...
@Stormblessed I recall that discussion. I really missed the boat on that; I only earned 122 rep from edits...

@Stormblessed Thanks. Sounds like a plan. Is there a certain rep level that works well? It seems that the most active and knowlegeable people don't really need the comparitively few points awarded.

@MikeC Mostly it's not about the amount of rep. A good answer will attract that much rep anyway. It's about making it a "Featured" question, and raising its visibility.

But users still like getting bounties.
In fact, on my top site nearly 10% of my reputation is from bounties.

@Alex Yeah, but my argument is that very few users who're going to go after a 100-point bounty will turn their nose up at a 50-point bounty.

2:41 PM
True, though to be fair "A good answer will attract that much rep anyway" is only true on certain sites.
Including this one.
But not including any of the other ones I post on.
Then there's also the problem that affects some top users, that bounties are basically the only way they can earn reputation by posting a new answer.
Because they already get 20 upvotes per day.

Q: Avengers: Endgame: What happens to Captain America?

GooJReading some articles on Avengers: Endgame, I came across the following two questions and can't think of a good answer.... What happens when,

@Alex Oh, boo-hoo, poor them. I thought we weren't in it just for the rep? :)

Yeah, we're in it for the Meta Wars.

@MikeC bounties of 50 reputation have worked 3 or 4 times on questions I’ve offered them on (out of 8 total)
So I’m not sure the amount really matters, 50 will make it just as visible as 500

I've offered three bounties. Two were 50 and one was 150. Neither of the 50s got an answer, and the 150 did get an answer (though not the kind of answer I was really looking for).

2:56 PM
I can't speak for others, but the amount of time I dedicate to searching for bountied stuff is the same no matter the bounty. May it be 50 or 500, if I reach the point where I don't think of anything else to Google, then I stop. I've never thought "but it's a 200 one! Try harder!"
I've never found something that was bountied, though. :P

Most of the bounties I've received have been after the fact "One or more of the answers is exemplary and worthy of an additional bounty." ones
I think...

To be honest, though, most of the bounties I've earned were offered after I posted my answer.

Q: BTS fanfic where they have superpowers

Yoon JeonghanCan anybody help me find a fanfic story in which members of the pop group BTS have superpowers. Possibly it was Yoon-gi centric.

This guy has gotten thousands of rep. for one answer even without bounties, I don’t get the point at this point

You vote for content not the user

3:04 PM
@Jenayah Yay! :)

And that is some excellent content worthy of the award

@Jenayah Umm... Considering, well, fanfics, of course they do.

It is a great answer but he’s got the idea at this point that his answer was good, I don’t understand the point of giving all this rep to him rather than trying to get other questions answered to improve our Q&A

@Stormblessed It was also bountied like seven times before the answer was posted.

@Stormblessed Once again you are thinking about voting on the user not the post
It doesn't matter if he "gets the idea" (whatever that means)

3:09 PM
@DavidW oh. Right.

It's also theoretically possible that there was an unanswered question and ten users promised a bounty to whoever would answer it. Once someone answers, the ten users have to pay up.
Even though it will result in 10 bounties for the same answer.

I just don’t get the point of spending bounties on something that already is super upvoted.

Because you think the post deserves an additional reward over the +10 you can give it?
That is literally the bounty reason used I imagine
> One or more of the answers is exemplary and worthy of an additional bounty.

On that note, I just started a bounty.

In the trailer 1 of MIB it says Always remember, the universe has a way leaving you to where you suppose to ...

Q: Can Tony's denial of quantum realm be simplified?

ShaliniIn Avengers:Endgame; Natasha, Steve and Scot meet with Tony trying to explain to him the possibilities of quantum realm to which Tony uses a lot of complex terms like Plank's proposition, Deutsch scale, EPR paradox etc. I do understand that a mobius strip has only one side no matter how you turn ...

Q: How was Thor allowed to bring Loki and the The Tesseract back to Asgard in the first Avengers movie?

GendoIkariAt the end of The Avengers, Thor returns to Asgard with Loki and the Tesseract. When Avengers first came out, it seemed that S.H.I.E.L.D. simply allowed Thor to take them; trusting that Asgard would be a better place to both give justice to Loki and to keep the cube safe. However, during Avenger...

Q: How will the Space Stone be returned at the end of "Endgame"?

Surya TejWe know that the Space Stone was inside the Tesseract. Thus, at the end of Avengers: Endgame, when Cap went back to return the Space Stone, how would he return it? I know this might give "user perspective" answers, but I wanted to know if this was addressed by the Russo brothers or any other dir...

General question. I've just found 2 story-id questions by the same user for the same story, posted about a year apart. Should one of them be closed?

I didn't realize that was the purpose of a flag. I just assumed a "flag" was to complain about something and I wasn't looking to complain. I just wanted the moderator to review my edited answer. So this is perfect. Thanks! — Isaac 36 mins ago
"I just assumed a "flag" was to complain about something "
There's something broken with flags...

Q: If a timewalker goes to a time before they were born, do they replace someone or do they add a new person to history?

MarthaIn A Discovery of Witches, some witches have the ability to travel in time. (They're called timewalkers or sometimes time-spinners.) The ability is confusingly described using an analogy to getting off one crowded train and then getting on another when there's room. What I don't understand is, ho...

Q: What was the inspiration for the 'draco vulgaris'?

nicolalliasIs the draco vulgaris (first described in Guards! Guards! (1989) inspired by the pseudodragons found in Dungeons and Dragons? I recently learned about them and find many similarities: small winged dragon (around than 2 feet long) can be a pet (relatively) short lived limited ability to communi...

Q: How old is Captain America at the end of "Avengers: Endgame"?

RedlineWe know that Captain America was born in 1918. However, his serum slows down his aging process. My question is, how old exactly is Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame, after he comes back as an old man?

Q: How could this Guardian of the Galaxy be shown the things she would have done (but didn't actually do)?

user1717828The title is confusing to keep it spoiler-free, what I want to know is: What are ways the Gamora at the end of Endgame can be shown the things now-dead-Gamora did during the time of the movies Guardians of the Galaxy 1&2 and Infinity War, using in-universe technology? She developed quite a bit ...

Q: Child's picture book; fantasy story with a green lizard in human clothes

user116423So, I have been trying a couple of times to find the name of a book from my childhood by googling to the best of my ability, so far without success. I was hoping that someone might have some ideas from the following list of "hints"/recollections: I read the book in question in the school librar...
