Q: Do Iron Man suits sport waste management systems?

ThePopMachineObviously, it is difficult to be and effective superhero if you need potty breaks. And Iron Man's suit affords a unique opportunity to done this problem. Do we have evidence of integrated waste management systems? (And what about hydration and nutrition, if that is not too unrelated an add-on.)

@Alex I think you'll get there before I do ;)
@Stormblessed probably something that was done on a now deleted post

@Jenayah Why? We're tied now, and we started at close enough of the same time that I didn't get there that much faster than you.

More HP questions, more likely to go HNQ
Story-identification went to HNQ just fine when I could answer almost all day but that's not a thing anymore :P

@Jenayah If that were reliable than I should be way ahead of you.
@Jenayah Wait, your answering schedule affects Hot Network Questions?

@Alex no, just saying that when I could answer fast because I wasn't at work, and it went to HNQ, I could go towards Epic faster
Story-identification goes to HNQ just the same I think, just that it's less frequent that I'm an answerer

@Jenayah , perhaps the downvote came from someone that has already watched it. And don't want to have memory of it. >Longest superhero fight in Marvel universe

Many heroes are known for being able to fight for an extended period of time.
What is the longest fight fought without break an hero was involved?

Rulling out 2 cosmic entities fithing in a dimension where time doesn't exist.
Or for an infinite amount of time loop hole.

So, what is the longest fight involving a superhero in the Marvel universe where fights involving playing with time or there being no time at all are ruled out.
Can't see anything inherently wrong with it

No guarantee that it won't go to the hot network questions list, though.

I think they are wanting to avoid needing to clarify the question once it's in the HNQ, if it goes these

The question is simple and great answer may push it to hnq. I don't mind hnq when I don't have to interact with people.

@Null Because "canon," with respect to Star Wars especially, is a constantly-shifting definition? Just trying to be charitable...

Why are comments getting deleted all the time? I don't get the point. Is there any way to read deleted comments when you have a certain amount of rep?

@Stormblessed nope, only mods can see deleted comments.
As for them being deleted, they're deleted when they're no longer needed
Or in that case, when a previous comment was deleted, therefor making the replies to it obsolete and hard to understand without the original comment

Any way to search for tags by keywords in excerpts/wikis?

Then again, a good bunch of comments are mod-deleted, so they are reviewed before the kill. The exceptions being for "Harassment, bigotry" which works like spam/RA flags, and auto-delete with certani keywords and "no longer needed" flags
@Stormblessed yes, give me a sec

@Jenayah How do spam/RA flags work?
Also, any way to see what tag wikis/excerpts I own?

@Stormblessed long story short? If a post gets 6 spam/RA flags, it gets auto-deleted, the poster looses 100 rep, the deleted post has an additinal layer of deletion, and possibly the poster gets indexed somewhere...
Longer explanation, ping @Mithrandir.

@b_jonas Go ahead, more support is more helpful.

@Jenayah More support is definitely going, the only question is whether that goes to a separate answer or just an edit.

Depends on how much there is.
If it's a relatively short quote or something I guess you can leave a comment and see what happens.
If it's more consistent, new answer seems fine.
@Alex does that often

@Jenayah It about doubles the size of the answer, since I both have to quote the word of the author and tell where it comes from, and that blockquote thing always takes up a lot of vertical space.

10:14 PM
@Jenayah Alex gets downvotes, though. :)

if you found additional support such as an author's quot, go ahead. New answer.
@TheLethalCarrot and @Skooba do that (relatively) often for ASOIAF/GOT stuff.

@Jenayah Yes, quotes by Lois Lowry.

@DavidW well, Alex has haters. :P

@DavidW Eh, the answers where I’ve done that have henerally been ignored or upvoted. The downvotes are on other posts mostly.

There, separate answer. The only problem is, I can't cancel the suggested edit.

10:24 PM
@b_jonas go back to the editing page, replace your edit by "I changed my mind, please reject"

@Jenayah Yes, that's basically what I did, only the SE interface makes that slightly difficult.

yeah, it does

I can't rely on just the edit reason, because a reviewer might not read it.
So I have to change the edit content itself to a null edit, but the SE web interface simply doesn't allow me to submit it if it's actually a null edit.

Yes, hence why I suggested you write "change my mind, please reject"
It's more than 6 characters and is pretty much the most explanatory you can get
Granted, a simple "cancel" button would be MUCH easier and smarter and logical, but... it's SE?

Yeah, you can't see what I actually posted because you don't have 1000 rep on that site. I'm not used to that, because you have so much rep on Sci Fi.

10:29 PM
SFF = home sweet home!

Also, I must notice the similarity to my answers here: I think I have several where I quote JKR's old FAQ, which she's since pulled.

Although do note that Lit takes a stance of less relying on simply the author's word and instead just using analysis of the text.

@Mithrandir I think in this case reading the text is more valuable, however, I think the WOG is a worthy addition,
because Lois Lowry explicitly says in one of the sources I quoted that she got a lot of letters (from children, mind you) asking about that ending, and that's probably from people who read the book,
so a bit of extra confirmation can't hurt I think.
I'm saying that it's by people who read the book to contrast it with that downvoted answer where I posted six comments' worth of rant before I deleted them and condensed it down to just two long comments.
Plus that interview I link also adds some context about how LL chose a more specific ending of the story in the sequels and the film.
I guess I'm just the kind of person who used to read FAQs on author's old websites back two decades ago, at least for books that influenced me this much.

You can't get any more British than that

yesterday, by Jacob C.
Re https://scifi.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/12110/what-should-the-new-background-theme-look-like -- In light of today's April 1 gag temporarily styling nav links to a color other than black, and the use of Comic Sans to boot, it's a little irksome that style flexibility can't be expanded to other days of the year, (e.g. white Orbitron Medium). Not in the power of SF&F SE though, I know. What became of the intention to style the new SF&F SE, though? Starburst rays seemed a decent idea.
I don't really understand what this message is saying?

Oh hey, you know what. Think of W&G questions, people.

What is wrong with this network? On-topic for two sites and no questions whatsoever about it (not completely sarcastic)

Wallage & Gromit is totally on-topic for SFF. It has sentient Moon robots, evil penguin schemers, rabbit mind transfer, and most of all, implications of British food tasting great.

11:11 PM
@Jenayah I said it was on-topic, not off

sure, as just continuing was I was saynig above :)

@Jenayah Am I in trouble?

@Alex you lack a great reference. Go watch some W&G
@Stormblessed basically, time was spent on a 2-days joke, which still required LOTS of CSS and whatnot, when feedback about the design of SFF got completely lost to the wind.

@Jenayah some people do prefer <code> formatting for things that come out of manuals and RFCs, because of likeness with the source material.
@Jenayah also not trying to start an edit war; the paucity of quote capabilities on SE make for a lot of sad compromises.

@gowenfawr Ah, alright. The first lines aren't from such a thing though are they? They're just from a Wiki
Also, I think quotes work better for, well, quotes, with screen readers. @Mithrandir can confirm maybe?

11:25 PM
Are there Hot Network Answers

@Jenayah they look very much like what I'd expect from a D&D style manual, I would not be surprised to find that those numbers originally come from the B5 Roleplaying Game and Fact Book.

@Jenayah what happened? At first I thought it was related to my edit on the question about coins in Mario

@Stormblessed not semantically, but the answers are often what makes the questions go into HNQ, so, kinda?
@Stormblessed this answer and its revision history scifi.stackexchange.com/posts/208405/revisions

@Jenayah I would guess OP went with <code> because he had three short lines, and in regular quotes that turns into either a run-on blob or lots of extra white space between lines. <code> allows you to have string<newline>string<newline> and just get one line after the other.
@Jenayah anyhoo thanks for cluing me in on the context for the first comment on that answer. Removed my quibble and marked your comment as no longer needed.
