Q: Do engines require their extra power bars to be powered to influence FTL recharge rate?

When you upgrade your Engine Systems, it increases the rate your FTL drive charges during hostile situations. To reap this benefit, do your upgraded engine's need to be MORE powered than otherwise or is it enough to upgrade them and use only 1 bar of power?

So, I was playing Ys I the other day. I hadn't realized exactly how much of the music from Ys Origin is lifted from Ys 1. Which makes sense, since Darm Tower is 1/4 of the game of Ys I (and the entire game of Ys Origin)

Q: Does lag give an unfair advantage to players?

I'd normally expect lag to give a disadvantage to the player who is experiencing this because then the player wouldn't be able to respond properly to enemy attacks. But I'm not sure. I think I've seen some people do better than average when their ping is above-normal. I may be entirely wrong here...
