To be fair, it is possible that my falling far on the bottom left of the compass is causing me to overthink the philosophical implications of chaos vs order
@GnomeSlice like, a deep story that explains what you're doing with quests and everything, or just a background story that explains the world but doesn't really give you direction as to where to go?
woo my ban appeal on my old main rs account was approved!

@PrivatePansy Either building plots you can place buildings on, or a system where you have a central block that everything else has to connect to and things fit together in a limited number of preset ways, a menu-based system is also fine
I have an automated chicken farm that uses pistons to direct the flow of water into holding pools. When the chickens float past the pistons they get damaged and die - irrespective of if the piston is opened or closed. I've even tried having the piston only push a block but they still die when c...
So I was playing anytime and wanted to get married, I had everything set up and when I go to the Church everybody says Congratulations on your wedding, but Maramal is apparently busy and I haven't even attended the wedding, now I am so far in the game and want to go back.
What do I do now?
@Wrigglenite So what's the difference between something like WoW, where you buy the game and then there's a subscription model, and Overwatch, where you buy the game and then there are lootboxes?
I think adding the ability to directly purchase cosmetics is the right answer. Because essentially, the question boils down to what content do you think comes with the game.
If you think you should have all those skins with the base game purchase then that just means nobody's going to make skins or emotes.
@Wrigglenite I don't agree. Servers are expensive and cost a lot of money to run, and most MMOs do regular content updates in between expansions as well. Devs gotta eat. Including system admins.
@Yuuki Pretty sure that's not true, but they did make massive cuts. Still, Guild Wars 2 has microtransactions with cosmetics and some convenience items.
@Wrigglenite Comparing MMOs to other online games isn't fair though. An MMO is much, much more expensive to run server wise than say, something like CSGO or Starcraft.
I think League has the best lootbox implementation and I honestly wouldn't be bothered if they implemented it in a non-free-to-play game. You earn lootboxes via playing the game but you can also directly purchase cosmetics.
WoW being a pay-to-play, subscription-based game with cosmetic microtransactions is a bit of an odd duck. Oh and it also has a real-money economy with those token things.
Are they used for anything other than WoW?
I heard there were plans to making it a Blizzard-wide currency that you spend in different games, not sure if that panned out.

You can use them for gold/game time, or for balance for your Blizzard account
I am currently trying to figure out how to get this command
execute if entity @p[distance=.11,nbt={SelectedItem:{tag:{display:{Name:"{\"text\":\"key\",\"color\":\"white\",\"bold\":\"true\"}"}}}}] run setblock -191 21 -52 minecraft:redstone_block
to work with an arrow renamed as "key" and then ...
Like in many RPG games, in the "POE2: Deadfire" you can build a relationship (either good or bad) between the PC and companions, which is neatly displayed on the characters screen. But to my surprise, companions have a similar screen showing how much they like/dislike another companion.
When I'v...
