@James I tend to prefer multiple devices with seperate inputs to multiple screens sharing one set of inputs.
It's probably in large part a quirk of how my desk is set up, but, for example, even when I had the iMac, I preferred having a laptop on the extension of the desk to my right for a second screen and turning to use the other keyboard to having a second monitor.
@LessPop_MoreFizz I tend to get confused as to which mouse moves which cursor :) I am just too used to one screen for targeted work and one screen for reference.. or in this case, The Bridge (plus debugging windows :))
@James Yeah, the gestures.... I feel so fucking naked without them when I do browse the web under windows because I'm tabbed out of a game or whatever.
If I do find myself in the situation where I am using a laptop and my desktop (some times I am just using two laptops). I will re-purpose one of the monitors on my desktop to a second one for the laptopa s well :)
I think its apple being greedy really.. I have Windows running on my MacBook, and the gestures are not as... robust, as they are on OSx.. I just can not get used to OSx though. Gives me such a high level of frustration.
@LessPop_MoreFizz I have an undiagnosed self-treated RSI, which probably factors in. writing all that code on this machine for the stackapps contest was painful.
@LessPop_MoreFizz I do not think all apple track pads are the same. I do seem to recall the one I got in the MacBook Pro being like TrackPad++ or the like.. so depending on the age of @agent86's apple thingy...

@James The trackpads got a major update circa ~2006. There have been incremental updates since then, but that was the major shift which results in the night and day difference between Apple and everyone else.
@agent86 Oh, that almost certainly factors in. I'm actually starting to suspect that I'm developing a bit of an RSI issue myself, though mine manifests a bit differently from yours I'd wager, seeing as it's actually not largely from my computer use.
@agent86 I did. I didn't make a save before the suicide mission (D'oh), and the "last-mission-restart" doesn't let you repick your tech / fire squad specialists.
@RavenDreamer Hint: Ambient conversations matter. If you listen in, you can pick up sidequests, and it will open up additional dialogs and other options.
(In the case of the PTSD Asari Commando, every time you zone in/out of the hospital you can hear a bit more of her story, and eventually, once you've heard the whole thing, you can go to the SPECTRE terminal and authorize her to carry a weapon. Or not.)
@LessPopMoreFizz No... I'm pretty sure I never met her.. I'm well aware about ambient conversations. Closest thing I remember was convincing a Turian to not start selling arms to everyone.

As you noted, intoxicants are a much better option. All of the 'doing what you tell them to', none of the annoying 'maintaining a relationship' and 'doing what they ask you to' business that so called 'friends' require.
