The rack is a torture device consisting of a rectangular, usually wooden frame, slightly raised from the ground, with a roller at one or both ends. The victim's ankles are fastened to one roller and the wrists are chained to the other. As the interrogation progresses, a handle and ratchet mechanism attached to the top roller are used to very gradually increase the tension on the chains, inducing excruciating pain. By means of pulleys and levers this roller could be rotated on its own axis, thus straining the ropes until the sufferer's joints were dislocated and eventually separated. Additionally...

I mean I guess I can say they look the same height on MY monitor.
I was playing counterstrike today and in server our admin said that a guy have different AWP model and animation (IDK how? He found it) and that guy who had it was just fragging everyone but was not using any aimbot/WH. so is it really affects or just he's too good?
> Doing this all day leaves you in a state of mild aphasia as you look at people's faces while they're speaking and you don't know they've finished because there's no semicolon.
Question about work probationary periods: does management call you in to tell you about the results of said probationary period or is it more of a "if we haven't fired you after the three month period, you're (more) secure" sort of thing?
I'll probably ask sometime this week. The biggest reason why I haven't found my own apartment or something is that I don't know if I'm stable in my current job.
The second reason being that I don't have to pay rent, which is a nice boost to my savings, but it's very slowly being outweighed by numerous other factors.
@Wipqozn (Also if you were hired through a recruiter the recruiter will only give credit for the commission fee if you're fired within that time period)
So not only do they likely like you, they'd also have to burn money to get rid of you!
@Wipqozn Yeah, that's what everyone's been telling me so it's kinda convincing me to stay here. And whenever I really think about it, most of the numerous "other factors" are just convenience things that I can just overlook.
@Yuuki I'm not sure of the cost of living there, I think it's generally more reasonable than here? If you can get a roommate or something that can help with the best of both worlds, depending on your salary
@Yuuki Ah, that's not too bad if you can split it two ways. We pay $1025 a month here, and we have a lower rate due to having been here so long…ugh x_x

In ESO, you can disenchant traits on armor and weapons for creating that same trait on new armor and weapons.
Is there a way to know if I've already disenchanted the trait on an item? I'd like to know if I can go ahead and sell the item or hang on to it to disenchant it later.

I've completed half life 2 and thinking about going to episode one. I haven't played hl1, and there are some parts of the story I can't quite figure out, like alyx's mother, g-man, relation between combine and dr breen, the vortiguents, origin of head crabs and antlions, and some other stuff. I'v...
Honestly, I just want to look at this speed for this Fibonacci algorithm. I guess I could implement it in JS if I want to mess with something I'm more familiar in.
In Torchlight 2, main camps have a Target Dummy.
Some Q&As suggest the player use it to experiment, so that the dummy helps them choose the best weapons and spells.
How do I extract information from hitting the dummy?
@Unionhawk "but if you count the people who run into our twitter advertisement auto-loading stream for 2 seconds before they could block the source account"
Listen, guys, this is simple. I don't know why you make it so hard. Trump and his people say words, and if you don't like the words or they don't sound factually correct, you are supposed to change the words until they make you happy and then assume that's what he was saying.
C'mon, I don't know why you make such a big deal of this.
I'm playing Elite: Dangerous and doing my best to do the missions (Mining is literally the worst). I get that there's a reputation section that shows how much a faction likes you, but I'm not sure how to determine what rank I am. This is irrelevant if I have no idea how to GET that rank, so this ...
I mean it's something I won't take because it's in a town I don't want to live in (it would increase my cost of living because I would need a car and things and it's smaller than where I live now and just nope) but it entertained me nonetheless
user15026
@Arperum I made one when I was in university. I often forget it exists.
@GodEmperorDune this was theoretically something I could do, and the town isnt far from here but it's far enough that I don't want to give up my current life stuff
> Invite your girlfriend to meet your parents. Have your father take her aside and ask if potatos were served at the dinner with her parents. When she says yes, he looks alarmed, mutters something about "wanting to keep them from him" and never mentions the subject again.
