@BenBrocka I have a wifi extender chained downstairs because our Sky decoder doesn't have wi-fi, so it is connected through the one ethernet port on the extender
In the Oculi crafting menu there is a "Tip" button that shows some basic recipes:
According to the first recipe, any three Oculi of the same color and size can be crafted into an Oculi one size larger.
By the looks of the second crafting recipe, the two primary colored Oculi can be combined i...
@agent86 ... why do you say "ethernet" and "phone" as if they couldn't both run off the same cable and use the same - or, well, compatible - endpoints?
I just ran CAT7 all over the place in my parent's house when it was build eight years ago. All of it ends on a single switchboard in the basement. Easy, simple, can be reconfigured any way I like.
@MartinSojka yeah, there's a clause in the contract that's like "you may not make changes in the house, and you may not hire anyone to do anything to the house prior to closing"
essentially they have a monopoly on overcharging me for shit until the house is done
You know, GRNightOut on Twitter, it's a bad idea to follow all the users of NWSGrandRapids (which is the National Weather Service). I know you did because it's the only connection I have to Grand Rapids and its only there because Lansing doesn't have its own National Weather Service bureau.
Anyway, speaking of ROT13... @badp Did you see the thing on /r/tf2 about someone's theory on the TF2 End of the Line Update's release date? Involves using a bunch of different things including ROT23 (no, that's not a typo)
The game lets you take Oculi you already have and craft new/better ones. Yesterday after getting my first red/blue/green I immediately crafted a while one. This of course diminishes the total number of Oculi I have available to equip. I then worried that perhaps I had wasted some precious resourc...
@GnomeSlice Press outlets are so ridiculously inundated with unsolicited "HEY CHECK OUT THIS KICKSTARTER/GREENLIGHT" tips that there's no way they can possibly look at them all
> Consumers who buy the game and register a copy online before July 31 will be able to download one of four Wii U titles: New Super Mario Bros. U, Pikmin 3, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, or Wii Party U.
That would be a cool deal if I didn't already own the games I cared about from that list
I wonder if they have some special military floppy disks, because the ones I've had couldn't keep my data while I walked from my friends house to my own, which was 2 minutes away
I sold my house yesterday, and the title company gave me a normal check that, due to the amount, the bank puts on hold for 7 days before giving me the money Yet when I bought a house through the same title company and they were the ones receiving rather than giving, they required a cashier's check so they could have the money instantly. #unfair #jerks #yolo #amihashtaggingright
they want all my personal information immediately. I pretty much assume they intercept and weigh my poop so that they can confirm the nuttiness of it. however, when I ask a silly question like "what does the property I just signed a document and paid money to buy look like? like what are the dimensions of it?" they're like "lol, we don't have to tell you that."
Suddenly, I forsee a future Call of Duty game where you are fighting in a coastal town with whale carcasses on the beach, and you fire at whale carcasses to make them explode and take out your enemies.
Is there any way to tell which clan member initiated a clan war? Our clan likes to be well prepared for our wars to maximize our chances of victory. Occasionally someone will start a war randomly and it is disruptive to the group as a whole. Is there anyway to tell who is starting these wars so w...
@GnomeSlice The problem with movement speed and direction affecting trajectory is that almost without fail, games make their projectile speeds way too slow, so there's way too much effect from movements
In Diablo 3, I wonder if my life on hit also heals me on DOT effects. More specifically, I have a Barbarian with a certain amount of heal per hit. If I were to use the Rend spell (AOE DOT around me), would every damage tick, heal me for the full amount which is displayed in character details scre...
NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND A CLASS I WAS ALREADY DOING TERRIBLY IN, THE PROFESSOR DECIDED INSTEAD OF HAVE THE EXAM AT THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED TIME (about now) THAT 8AM YESTERDAY WOULD BE GOOD
@SaintWacko He scheduled this like, 5 days ago in an e-mail, that I didn't read because I assumed it would be "Exam is at regularly scheduled time in regularly scheduled place, is cumulative, is worth 25%, good luck assholes"
If it wasn't, my next question was going to be, "Is this one of those classes where if your final exam grade is higher than your course average, the professor will take the exam grade as your course grade?"
Because I have a love-hate relationship with those kind of courses.
@OrigamiRobot I've noticed that it's mostly my math classes that do that.
Usually, the final exam is cumulative and the professors feel that if you demonstrate enough aptitude on the final, it proves you're good for the course.
On the plus side, my exam scheduled for Monday was cancelled and we all got hundreds. Because out professor was sick/couldn't be asked to schedule a make-up
