This makes me uncomfortable, too. Long after the hats are put away, the alterations to the sites remain. Some sites can probably absorb any damage being done (really, who's going to notice a stray bump to the front page on SO, or a few votes on a large site?), but others are more susceptible. ...

LOTR had a lot of problems. They had a bunch of crystal balls on a family plan, then lost a few, so they can't safely use them without knowing who has access to their data.

There were some hats in the past that just had bad incentives, but hats are no excuse, you can abuse the system for almost any of them. There is a basic expectation that users will exercise a minimum of common sense while chasing hats

Basically each year there are a handful of guys who form a little empire and go all stormtrooper for hats.

Q: Is there a way to find out a player's name using commands?

I'm trying to make map where if you die, it says in the chat that the player in question has died. For example, if a guy named BlehBlehBleh died, it would say in the chat, "BlehBlehBleh has died!" or something like that. P.S I think it has something to do with scoreboards.
