You said that the reason why Monster Hunter is on the 3DS is because developers pick which consoles everyone uses. Which is largely true, but I'm saying that it's really not the case for the Monster Hunter franchise.

People really underestimate how big it is in Japan. It is the game. Pretty much any Japanese kid that plays video games has played Monster Hunter. It is the go-to gaming reference in pretty much every medium.

@Yuuki and I said that because I recall Capcom being quoted saying that's why they accepted the partnership. I would find you a reference but almost every site that's fun is blocked at my work. I won't however deny that Monster Hunter definitely drove sales up even further due to it's presence on the system

In the case of Frontier I think it's either people already knew they didn't like it as much as the main series because it had been on PC for 3 years or it wasn't a driving factor for more people to buy Xbox 360s in Japan

This might be an odd question, but I was wondering if you could improve GPU performance with games, comparatively, when using doubles/halves of the native resolution, instead of an odd ratio of that.
