So yeah. They don't define too loudly, but your body gets used to what it gets. If it gets lots of loud music, it expects that decibel level for more things.

@GnomeSlice If you spend 75% of your day listening to music at 20 decibels (totally arbitrary value), anything lower than that will seem quieter to you.

@Frank That I can agree. I recently bought tailored earprotection. Only problem I have with them is that I didn't get them earlier. Knowing the difference in quality between these and whatever else is on the market I would've gladly paid double...

@Frank I notice that I always gradually lower the volume of the music in my car, and it goes a couple ticks back up after I went to a show.

ALthough it never goes as high as it was last year.

When I got my car I always played my music on 15, whatever that stands for, with a max of up to 20 when driving on a highway and listeing to a livecd with lower quality. As of now, I'm generally listening at 10, with slowly advancing towards 8-9 and spikes back up to 12.
