@AshleyNunn It was only made by a KKK member . . .

user15026
I mean I know its historical value and stuff, but damn.

@DavidM I had the pleasure of listening to a reading by William Golding himself. At the end he basically said "If anyone tries to find meaning in this book, they're wrong"

user15026
@DavidM Still used as propaganda, even

FAE
@LessPop_MoreFizz Using the past tense because I meant that I didn't know who she was then type thing.

4:01 AM
@PrivatePansy I didn't realize it for years and years because I didn't run into any other LeGuin.

Jules Verne is awesome!

user15026
I don't like most classic lit

Although, Captain Nemo will forever sound like James Mason in my head.

user15026
I am a terrible English major

FAE
@AshleyNunn Minus Alice in Wonderland!

4:02 AM
I love Alice in Wonderlaaaaand! :D

@OrigamiRobot I read so many of these as a kid.

@FAE Greatest book ever written by a pedophile!

user15026
oh, yeah, that is an exception to the rule

@FAE <3

I also have super conflicted feelings about The Great Gatsby, but that has more to do with where I'm from than anything else. I suspect @DavidM has similar feelings.

4:02 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz Yes!
It's a shit book.
But, it is about where we're from.

@MechanicalLoon Multiple times each.

FAE
@OrigamiRobot I totally forgot about these.

I did grow up in West Egg, after all . . .

@DavidM It's not a shit book... but... I'm just so tired of it.

user15026
I read a book called "Alice I Have Been" that is an interpretation of the relationship between Alice Liddell and Charles Dodgson that was really, really good.

4:03 AM
@DavidM I thought you were from East Egg.

@OrigamiRobot I did this reading challenge thing each summer where you had to report how many pages you read, and I counted the illustrations every other page because they were captioned.

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz It's a decent book, but way, way, way overplayed for what it is

@LessPop_MoreFizz F. Scott Fitzgerald was such a self-indulgent douchebag.

(Great Neck = West, Port = East.)

@LessPop_MoreFizz Yeah. My mistake.

FAE
4:03 AM
@AshleyNunn And misinterpeted. "Let's have huge extravagant parties like Gatsby!"

Y'know they tore down the old Gatsby house last year, right?
Over in Kings Point.
:(

@LessPop_MoreFizz No.
I didn't.

WHY AM I SO BAD AT THIS GAMEEEEEE

@spugsley Because your mother.

I got it on audiobook read by Tim Robbins. It was SOOOOOOO awful. I usually like Tim Robbins.

4:05 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you're my new favorite

user15026
@FAE oy, yes, that.

Speaking of shitty old literature, the mere mention of The Last of the Mohicans makes me wince.

FAE
Have never read that one.

The Red Badge of Courage taking a close second.

@MechanicalLoon I read it in Spanish just for shits and giggles when I was living in Prague for a Summer.

user15026
4:06 AM
@MechanicalLoon Those are both crap

@MechanicalLoon I had the Great Illustrated Classics version of this. Never managed to read it.
Anybody remember Book-It?

@AshleyNunn Hear, hear.

@Fluttershy I got so, so many pizzas.

Also overrated: No Country for Old Men.

@FAE Me too! :D I wonder if they still do that.

FAE
@Fluttershy No idea.

user15026
@Fluttershy I suspect this is an american thing

@DavidM Haven't read the book. Movie was amazeballs though.

4:07 AM
@Fluttershy I think that's the reading challenge thing I mentioned before.

Cormack McCarthy is a highly functioning illiterate.

Where I counted the illustrated pages in the Great Illustrated Classics.

@MechanicalLoon You would get a free personal pan pizza from pizza hut for reading enough.

@Fluttershy Javier Barden carried it.

4:07 AM
@Fluttershy I definitely got free pizzas.

FAE
@DavidM I've only read The Road by him.

@DavidM Eh, I thought everyone gave strong performances. Tommy Lee Jones was excellent, even though he was mostly himself.

@FrostEngineer I hated this book when I read it, but I suspect I'd like it now.

Ooh, I know! Everything by Jane Austen.

FAE
Dammit Bridge, it's after 5am and I need to sleep but everyone's talking about boooooks.

4:08 AM
@FAE He writes like he just discovered a type writer and tried to mash his face into the keyboard.

user15026
@Fluttershy I would have had all teh pizzas

@Wipqozn Yup. That it does.

FAE
@DavidM The complete lack of punctuation in that one for dialogue made it really hard for me to follow sometimes.

user15026
We did reading things for charity, eventually people stopped offering me $ per page because I read too much

4:08 AM
TERRIBLE punctuation. Drives me nuts.

@Fluttershy Oh man, I forgot about that

Jinx!

SO MUCH PIZZA

Bela's being super affectionate right now.

Also, Pizza Hut was a bigger thing than it is.

FAE
4:09 AM
@DavidM Haha this, yes.

user15026
@FAE I had to read it for school, and I liked it, sort of, but my inner copy editor wanted to fix it so much

@DavidM But. why do you, hate terrible! punctuation?

@Fluttershy LOL. I won't tolerate it in edited books.

@LessPop_MoreFizz If this is an example of his writing, I know someone IRL who writes like this and thinks his own talent is a gift to the world.

FAE
@AshleyNunn I did enjoy the story, but the presentation was rough.

user15026
4:10 AM
I am trying to think of another book that didn't use quotation marks but I forget what it is and it is driving me mad

FAE
@LessPop_MoreFizz bwahaha

e e cummings best writer

@MechanicalLoon It is a gift to world. That doesn't mean the world liked the gift . . .

@MechanicalLoon It's a parody of his writing.

@Fluttershy @MechanicalLoon We had the Accelerated Reader program. You'd read a book and take a test on it. Each book was worth an amount of points based on it's difficulty. (IIRC Goosebumps books were 3pts, The Hobbit was ~35pts) At the end of each year, we got to go to a "school store" and spend your points on things. One year, I got Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2.

4:10 AM
@Ullallulloo Capitalize your DAMN NAME!
LOL

FAE
@Ullallulloo He is one of my favorite poets, but he actually didn't stylize his name that way.

user15026
@OrigamiRobot daaaaaaang

@OrigamiRobot We did that too! I got Lemmings!

@FAE I almost never like poetry, but he wrote one of the two poems I've ever read that I enjoyed.

FAE
His publishers did that

4:11 AM
One being the most cliched poem in the history of liking poetry (The Raven).

user15026
WHY DID AMERICA GET COOL SHIT

@Ullallulloo I liked Archie.

user15026
I just got charity donations

FAE
@OrigamiRobot Never heard of this.

@AshleyNunn We can't help it. We're just cool.

4:11 AM
@MechanicalLoon Everybody should like The Raven. As well as a lot of Poe's other works.

FAE
@MechanicalLoon Hey, that's one of my faves too. What's your other?

@Fluttershy Nevermore

@FAE what if a much of a which of a wind

FAE
@Fluttershy Eh, I can see why it's not to everyone's taste.

@MechanicalLoon Poe has his place. He's fun to read around Halloween . . .

4:12 AM
Did anyone else read The Enoch by Robert Bloch?

Oh yeah... why is a raven like a writing desk?

user15026
One of the things I missed when I entered high school was that Scholastic Book Orders were no longer a thing

@Fluttershy <3 The Gold Bug

FAE
@Powerlord Poe wrote on both. :P

The Cask of Amontillado

FAE
4:13 AM
@AshleyNunn I missed those tooooo.

Ooooohhhhh . . . Unholy Night. Excellent book. Religiously irreverent. By Seth Grahame-Smith

user15026
This is my favourite brain-candy poem (I like it for the words and the sound): bartleby.com/122/14.html

Same guy who wrote Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

@AshleyNunn The orders, and the fairs. I loved just sitting in class when the librarian would wheel in a card loaded with bundles of books. :P

user15026
@Fluttershy oh yes that was awesome.

user15026
4:13 AM
@Fluttershy Seriously. It was GLORIOUS.

FAE
@MechanicalLoon I memorized this and performed it in front of my class as a book report. My English teacher let me do that in place of a full book because of the unconventional way doing it (acting it out, props, etc.).

Speaking of which, WORST screen adaptation ever. Worse than that, the screenplay was written by the BOOK'S AUTHOR!!!! WTF!?!?!

user15026
That's how i got most of hte Animorph books, because they would occasionally come in 10 for $10 packs.

FAE
@AshleyNunn Yesssssss

4:14 AM
@DavidM You say this as if the book was good to begin with.

@LessPop_MoreFizz I liked it.

user15026
@FAE I loved those books SO much

@FAE It's a long poem. That's impressive.

FAE
@MechanicalLoon 19 stanzas!

Pride, Prejudice and Zombies is funny, too.

FAE
4:15 AM
@MechanicalLoon Could still do it if I reread it. I can still do the first 8 or so off the bat.
@AshleyNunn Me too. <3 I am sad they cancelled the reprinting.

user15026
@FAE I have most of them, I think

FAE
@MechanicalLoon I was also in drama club, so I did a lot of memorization back then.

FAE
Now I want to read poetry out loud. :(

Jabberwocky is the best poem.

Q: How do I save the pretty lady?

MBraedleyI'm having trouble in chapter five (the giant's battleground) where I come upon a tribe of ritualistic warriors. I figure that I have to draw them away, then hide in the image while they run off the cliff. Once they're all gone, I presume that I save the pretty lady. My problem is that I can't...

Oh, and the Grand High Poobah of shit books that I was forced to read in HS: Jane Eyre. Oh Charlotte Bronte, how I want to dig up your grave and piss on your bones!

user15026
@DavidM Eeeergh

@AshleyNunn I have very strong feelings about Gothic literature. Most of them rage inducing.

FAE
@AshleyNunn I got rid of the ones I used to have. :( I had the extras too, like the Hork-Bajir Chronicles, Visser, etc.

user15026
4:17 AM
@DavidM high fives I knew there was a reason I liked you

user15026
@FAE my mom still has mine in her attic

@AshleyNunn High fives back.

user15026
my baby sitters club books too

@Lazers Upvotes for clever title pls!!!

FAE
@AshleyNunn Had... so... many...

4:18 AM
Oh, did anyone have to learn an amount of The Canterbury Tales?

@MBraedley Done

FAE
I had to sell off most of my children's/YA books. I didn't get rid of my scary story/horror books though.

@DavidM Key exception for me: The Turn of The Screw. So spooky. So good.

We had to lean the first X lines and recite them in Old English

user15026
@FAE I know....

FAE
4:19 AM
@AshleyNunn The specials, the mysteries...

@OrigamiRobot Canterbury Tales != Old English.
It's Middle English.

@OrigamiRobot I read some of it in plain english. Never recitation, never old english/middle english

user15026
@FAE It made me sad when I learned she wasn't writing them all herself. I mean it makes sense, but damn

I took a semester of actual Old English in college. We translated the first chunk of Beowulf.

@OrigamiRobot I had to memorize The Raven, and Hamlet's soliloquy in high school.

4:19 AM
Don't tell me. I'm just telling you what I was told.

FAE
@AshleyNunn Yeah, ghostwriting was so huge back then, same with Animorphs.

user15026
@FAE Yeah....

You can imagine the rage that the recent release of a Jane Eyre movie being marketed as a horror film induced in me. Searing, soul burning rage!

user15026
@Fluttershy I never had to memorize poetry

@Fluttershy We didn't have to memorize The Raven, but yes to Hamlet's Soliloquy

FAE
4:20 AM
I don't even know how well I'd be able to do memorization like that anymore. I've had more concussions since then.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Time well spent . . .

FAE
@MBraedley Yeah, same.

I have also memorized the prayer from Boondock Saints, and Ezekiel 25:17. <_<

zzz... What the shit it's 11:30?

> To be, or not to be. That is the question. \ Whether 'tis nobeler...

4:21 AM
When did that happen?

FAE
@Unionhawk I feel you

I worked until 4:30 AM last night, took a huge disco nap this afternoon, and now I'm wired awake.

I'm convinced it was an instantaneous change
Because it was 9:30 like, 2 minutes ago.

@Unionhawk Yes, my Time-Changinator is finally working! Bwahahahahahahahahaha!

user15026
@Fluttershy Interesting Scripture choice. :)

4:22 AM
@Unionhawk Not yet, you still have a few minutes

Q: Is there independent volume controls in Pokémon X/Y?

rom016I want to be ale to hear if a shiny has appeared but prefer my own music collection to that played during game play.

user15026
@FAE oh, yes, that would do it. (I watched that movie once, and...got....distracted, so I missed chunks. Same with Rocky Horror....)

@AshleyNunn Dammit, Janet!

FAE
4:24 AM
@AshleyNunn The first time I saw Rocky Horror was during NYU's introduction week, complete with people yelling stuff and everything.

I got distracted at the Rocky Horror midnight show once.

I hate Rocky Horror and anyone who likes it.

@OrigamiRobot You hate a lot of people, sir.

@Fluttershy Good.

user15026
@Fluttershy high-fives

user20683
4:24 AM
@OrigamiRobot I got dragged to Rocky Horror... at DragonCon

Q: MinersNeedCoolShoes.com isn't displaying my most recent skin

SarahI made a skin on MinersNeedCoolShoes.com and then I downloaded it, but when I search my username on MinersNeedCoolShoes.com, my old skin appears. I am trying to edit my most recent skin, but MinersNeedCoolShoes.com won't display it. When I play minecraft my most recent skin still appears. Im not ...

Unsure if spam, or just oblivious...

@OrigamiRobot Rocky Horror as a real communal thing in a theatre at midnight with cool people is very very different from rocky horror on video in a dorm room with a half a dozen nerds. The former hasn't really been A Thing in a very long time.

@Fluttershy I really don't think the URL needs to be repeated 4 times

The closest thing to that spirit is the cult that has sprung up around The Room in the past few years.

FAE
4:27 AM
@LessPop_MoreFizz So how's your sex life?

@LessPop_MoreFizz It happens here every year. Every October, the local theater has a midnight showing of RHPS, and it is amazing.

@FAE Nonexistent! :P

@LessPop_MoreFizz I've never done either. I've just seen the movie.

@FAE I nearly spewed iced tea on that.

@OrigamiRobot then you are not really qualified to weigh in on the matter, tbqh.
@Fluttershy yeah, but the vibe isn't the same nowadays, IMO.

FAE
4:28 AM
@DavidM It's a line from The Room. The question comes about as completely out of nowhere as my usage of it just did.

@LessPop_MoreFizz I can't really attest to that. :P But I enjoy it!

@LessPop_MoreFizz I think being outside the echo chamber makes me perfectly qualified.

@LessPop_MoreFizz It's all those condoms people are using these days . . .

@OrigamiRobot Negative. I don't think anyone is going to deny that Rocky Horror is, at best, a mediocre film.

Q: Which is the best of the eeveelutions?

Animal-CrosserWhich evolution for Eevee is the best stat-wise? I'm asking about Pokemon X and Y, to be specific.

Ugh.

the whole point of the thing is the cult experience and the interactive thing.

user15026
I once went to a thing that tried to make the musical ep of BTVS into that sort of thing

user15026
it was mostly disappointing

@LessPop_MoreFizz I know what a cult experience means and that just makes it stupider.

@Lazers I edited out the spammy parts.

4:30 AM
@AshleyNunn Yeah, most of them are very forced and, well... feel forced.
the thing that was magical about RHPS was how organically the whole thing developed, and it's what's so similar and remarkable about the more recent thing surrounding The Room.

user15026
The Room is some messed up shit.

@AshleyNunn eh, it's just a badly made bad movie.

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz same thing, for my brain

OK: Everyone. Favorite movie that no one else here has probably ever seen?

user20683
@DavidM 3-Iron

4:33 AM
I'm going with The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

@DavidM Sorry; not a hipster.

user20683
@DavidM Seen it

@FrostEngineer What's 3-Iron about?

@DavidM Seen it.

@DavidM Who hasn't seen it?

user15026
4:34 AM
@DavidM hm. thinks Of late? Flakes. Because come on, cereal.

@DavidM Brick for a recent pick.

FAE
@DavidM I haven't seen a whole lotta movies... uhhhh... Jean de Florette and its sequel Manon du Source, probably.

@AshleyNunn LOL

user20683
@DavidM A man who lives as a shadow in other people's lives

@DavidM Seeeeen it.

4:35 AM
@FrostEngineer Nice!

Seriously, all of you should see Brick.

I can see we have an enlightened crowd here.

THE DIALOG.
Also, the dumb tolkien scene is hilarious.

user15026
Weirdest movie I've ever watched was Un Chien Andalou.

Dark City? People have probably seen that, though, and it's not really amazing, just kind of ok.

user15026
4:35 AM
That was messed up

user15026
@DavidM I just watch really random crap on Netflix.

@MechanicalLoon I liked it. Premise was awesome. Not well fleshed out.

@AshleyNunn Watch brick. It is on Netflix.

I wouldn't call it a favorite, but a movie that was really good that I've never heard anyone talk about is Worlds Greatest Dad

@DavidM Yes. That is accurate.

4:36 AM
Putting on Brick as we speak.

I've seen Lola Rennt (Run Lola Run in English). It was weird.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Joseph Gordon-Levitt? that one?

@MechanicalLoon Proto Matrix (or derivative) can't remember which was first.

@Fluttershy Yup.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Excellent movie.

4:37 AM
@DavidM Dark City came out in 1998; The Matrix in 1999.

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz It shows unavailable for me

THE MATRIX IS 15 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR LSFJALSDFKADJSKLFJASDKFJ

FAE
@MechanicalLoon They used some of the set of Dark City in The Matrix.

High school kids talk like characters in a 40's era Humphrey Bogart noir flick

user15026
I've never seen The Matrix.

4:38 AM
@MechanicalLoon 15 years boring

@MechanicalLoon Ghost Busters is 30 MFers

@AshleyNunn WAT

user15026
@MechanicalLoon Not even once.

FAE
@AshleyNunn It is one of my favorite films.

4:39 AM
@AshleyNunn Then it's working on you . . .

user15026
@DavidM grins

@AshleyNunn I'm taking your geek card away. You don't deserve it until you see that movie!

The worst movie that hopefully none of you have seen for your own sake: Movie 43.

user15026
I know enoughh about it to understand references but that's it

FAE
@LessPop_MoreFizz Not on my Netflix either. :(

user15026
4:40 AM
@MechanicalLoon I tried, but I couldn't do it

Mine either.

@FAE Only on American netflix I guess. :(

@MechanicalLoon Teeth

@LessPop_MoreFizz In Connecticut, dude.

FAE
@OrigamiRobot I know this one!

4:41 AM
@OrigamiRobot Is that the one where the teeth are in a woman's vagina?

@FAE It was so idiotic.

Yeah. I think I saw Teeth. Refresh my memory.

@MechanicalLoon Yes

Ok just making sure.

FAE
@MechanicalLoon Yes. Haven't seen it, but I've seen it in rental places.

4:42 AM
Didn't Netflix drop a bunch of film on Jan 1

@FAE Those still exist????

FAE
Worst movie by quality I've seen is probably Dolemite.

FUCKING OMG
AHHHHHHH

WHAT

@DavidM It got pulled I guess. :(

4:42 AM
?

LOUD NOISES LOUD NOISES LOUD NOISES

FAE
@PrivatePansy Yes they did

WHY ARE WE YELLING?

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz It must have gotten pulled, because I use unblock-us to get American netflix

@LessPop_MoreFizz Netflix lost a major deal with someone (United, maybe)

user15026
4:43 AM
@OrigamiRobot I got about ten minutes in and gave up

@spugsley is probably mad that I reminded her how dumb Teeth was.

FAE
Dolemite is a 70s blaxploitation film and damn was that thing incoherent.

Ah
Probably

Ugh, I understand why Netflix has to pull some things, but it's really inconvenient for at the worst times.

@AshleyNunn I made it till almost the end. It get's dumber.

4:43 AM
Possibly, anyway.

I have to imagine this is the worst movie ever.

I GET ANXIOUS WHEN @SPUGSLEY YELLS AND DOESN'T TELL US WHY!

@MechanicalLoon ...
what the actual fuck?

Just yesterday, I had the strangest urge to rewatch Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010), but it got pulled from Netflix since I last saw it. On Netflix.

@MBraedley Don't Starve. Always Don't Starve

FAE
4:44 AM
@Yuki Hey, at least you get a decent movie selection.

@Yuki Are you OK? Do you need medical attention?

Lol at netflix having a selection allegedly

FAE
@Unionhawk We didn't even have Netflix in this country til this past September. :P

@DavidM I think I just want to watch a wizard battle for some reason. Or just a battle with ridiculous CGI effects.

@MBraedley I DIED AGAIN

4:45 AM
YOU FOOLS THERE ARE NO MOVIES ON NETFLIX

Okay, another recommendation that is not on most streaming services but is worth tracking down: Fear of a Black Hat.

@Unionhawk First week with netflix: "Holy shit there's so many movies." Second week with netflix: "Why doesn't it have any of the movies I give a shit about?"

IT'S ALL A LIE

It's essentially the This Is Spinal Tap of early 90's Gangsta Rap.

@Yuki HP and the Chamber of Secrets, then.

FAE
4:45 AM
To be found on Netflix for me: 20 odd SciFi films... 200+ romantic comedies. sobs

@LessPop_MoreFizz Ever see Juice?

@DavidM The only big CGI effect battle in that movie was the dueling club stuff. Which was kinda meh.

@Yuki Yes, but at least it won't induce brain damage.

Well, I guess there's the snake (basilisk), but that doesn't count.

FAE
4:46 AM
@Yuki Deathly Hallows then

@FAE Probably not on Netflix.

Ahhhhhh . . . Obscure movie that I liked: And now, Ladies and Gentlemen.

FAE
True.

Jeremy Irons was excellent in that. A bit confusing, but that's the idea.

It's our civic duty to bang the booty!... The Butt... is like Society, which we want to see as openness and expansion...

4:48 AM
And, just a guess due to the avg. age in here. Anyone seen the Three Amigos?

@DavidM Yes.

@DavidM Of course. Steve Martin, etc.

I've seen that movie so many times.

It's such a great movie!

user15026
@DavidM Yep!

FAE
4:48 AM
Not I.

AHH OLD PEOPLE
(:P)

I work with a lot of people fresh out of school, and >50% have never seen it.
@Unionhawk Speak up, I couldn't hear you.

user15026
It's a year older than I am. I watched it with my dad at some point.

@AshleyNunn That comment made my back hurt.

4:50 AM
Well, I guess I could always watch the invasion scene from the Avengers.

user15026
@DavidM If it helps, at 26, I am not nearly the youngest in the room...

Surprisingly, that is on Netflix.

o/

FAE
@Yuki Wow, really?

4:50 AM
@Yuki 3 Amigos or World's Greatest Dad?

@AshleyNunn But also not the oldest.

@FAE Yeah, it's actually been there for quite some time.

DAMMIT NETFLIX THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS

FAE
> The Avengersis unavailable to stream

As long as you're on Netflix, watch Archer. That's my gift to you.

FAE
4:51 AM
Sigh

@FAE Don't worry. It wasn't that good.

user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz This is also truth.

FAE
@DavidM I enjoy the Marvel movies.

user15026
@DavidM Yes! Archer is great.

Also, helpful website: canistream.it (for the US it's helpful at least.)

FAE
4:52 AM
@DavidM The animated series thing?

I think (wait, I know) I'm the youngest in the room currently.

OK, who is the oldest here? (*Hoping it's not me . . . *)

Well, active anyway

@FAE Yes. It's VERY RUDE, though.

@DavidM Always and forever @Sternold.

4:52 AM
@OrigamiRobot Holy shit I need to see this.

FAE
@DavidM I've seen parts of it, not really my type of humor. One of my boyfriends enjoys it though, so I sort of see it by proxy when he watches it.

@MechanicalLoon You will be in for a huge surprise.

@FAE There is a fairly interesting statement in the sub-text here.

I found of those weird mess-up-Benedict Cumberbatch's-name thing again and I'm laughing so hard I'm crying
I just can't

@spugsley A Sherlock trailer?

4:53 AM
Bandertoot Cabbagepatch really got me

user15026
@spugsley snorts

Someone should make @Sternold into a scriptbot of some sort. And by someone I mean @fredley.

FAE
@DavidM Some people only have one partner, I have three, 'tis simple. :)

user15026
He loooks like a potato. (I saw an image comparing the two today)

@spugsley Oh, I misunderstood. Yeah. Funny.

4:54 AM
@DavidM Is it just me or does everyone just seem to tiptoe/poke at every mention of @FAE having multiple boyfriends?

Blatherback Candycorn

user15026
@FAE That's one more than me :P

@OrigamiRobot Just read the synopsis on Netflix. What the fuck is happening in that trailer?

@DavidM When @sternold isn't around, it tends to be me. But I'm not particularly old, and if you've got kids, odds are good you've got a few years on me.

@FAE I don't have a problem with it. I'm all for variety.
@LessPop_MoreFizz 38.
@LessPop_MoreFizz I call.

4:55 AM
@DavidM I think you're older than @sternold.

@Yuki Only people that aren't aware of the fairly well established fact that she's poly and in multiple relationships?

Someone get @agent numbers in here stat.

@MechanicalLoon To be fair, any more in the trailer would spoil the movie. It's one of the few things I'm glad I went in not knowing what was going to happen.

@DavidM Yeah, you've got nearly a decade on me.

@LessPop_MoreFizz I didn't know the first time it came up and I really didn't question it or care.

4:55 AM
@OrigamiRobot Will still watch because Robin Williams is the best.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck me . . .

People's business is other people's business, not mine.

Why am I about to start watching a movie at midnight?

@MechanicalLoon Except RV...

user15026
@MechanicalLoon Because why not!

4:56 AM
Yarp, @DavidM is officially older than @Sternold.
Confirmed.

@Unionhawk WAIT WHAT
how is that possible

At least I'm probably better looking than a potato

user15026
@Yuki Some people are just curious, and as long as they aren't dicks about it, I see no problem

Allegedly, anyway. Assuming @Sterno can be trusted to provide his real age.

FAE
@Yuki Lots of people tend to not be aware of how often they relate the gender or the number of their partner(s) if they have only a single, opposite gender one every day in casual conversation, so when something's stated that's outside that perceived norm, it catches people's eyes.

4:57 AM
Which... 35... hm.

user15026
@DavidM I suspect you are, I generally find people more attractive that potatoes.

user15026
@FAE ooh, you phrased it better than anything my brain had going

@AshleyNunn do I need to bust out the Benedict Cumberbatch potato hybrid again?
because I will

@FAE I guess. I just tend to be laid-back about most things, to the point where I seem (and probably am) apathetic.

user15026
@spugsley I might die.

4:58 AM
@AshleyNunn it's ok, I already died

user15026
@Yuki Wasn't it you that said about me having a harem? Or was that someone else?

@AshleyNunn Probably someone else.

@FAE Again, I don't have a problem with it. Don't misread. I just was taken aback because you're the one who originally scolded me for being vulgar.

user15026
@Yuki Entirely possible

user15026
4:58 AM
my brain mushes things together

@DavidM I don't think having three boyfriends counts as "vulgar".

@Yuki Neither do I. I just took her for more innocent.

user15026
@DavidM bursts into hysterical laughter

user15026
Sorry.

user15026
She's about as innocent as me :P
