If you own a system with others' personal data in it in Italy, you must by law protect it with non-socially-engineerable passwords that change at least once every three months and are at least 8 characters long
@badp The *oids are free, have fast forward (toggle not hold) and savestates. They were made free "temporarily" after being removed from Android Market, but they never took down the free versions/made them for pay
I stick with them because the interface is mostly common between all of them. The downside is they're ooooold so A: no new android design and B: not designed with very high DPI assets
They're plenty usable though (as far as soft-button emulators go), the buttons/menus are just ugly
I'm not sure why they were pulled down, since other emulators remain, but I'm wondering if it's because of the "oid" branding; I think it's a violation of Android's branding guidelines
You're not supposed to append "droid" or "android" or anything to your app's name (For Android is okay though)
I don't know what else it would be though, plenty of other emulators are around
They might have just got spooked or stopped maintaining them before they were pulled so they didn't bother
FPSE on the other hand was so maintained it was annoying...it updated and restarted itself every week or so and had to download it's plugins all over again each time
@Fluttershy :( I have too much to play! also I don't like the lack of dedicated servers. I'd probably play minecraft on my xbox if it had dedicated servers
but noooooo
xbox acts like the internet doesn't exist
"what? a pc? hosting a game? with an xbox? spits out drink we don't do PCs here at Microsoft."
@SaintWacko I realized why we didn't think there was decent mouseover text on whatif... before about 19-20, they were super boring and primarily descriptive
@ShotgunNinja the value of a piece of entertainment tends to decay non-linearly with respect to time. I have more games than I have time. Therefore, I just wait for the right point on the value curve to strike. Wooooo math
Because, well, if someone's getting that book I was wondering if it's possible to have it shipped here through them instead of having to pay Amazon's onerous international shipping fees
@agent86 Amazon's shipping fee is $10 ($5 per item + $5 per shipment). It should be possible to ship something here for less, if my research is correct.
and I don't think that covers customs or any other import taxes or anything, although I'd bet most people fudge it, and at $10 it's unlikely to be a significant contributor to the cost
So... it basically comes down to either getting it from Amazon now, with a $6 preorder discount but a $10 shipping fee, or wait for it to show up at a local bookstore for goodness knows what price
I'm not sure why they even bother. I do recall someone saying YouTube uses facial recognition and lip reading for this, though that seems waaay to advanced
The comment noted they use facial recognition data to improve the audio transcript, which is why the transcript for cartoons and audio only voices are less accurate
Optical character recognition, usually abbreviated to OCR, is the mechanical or electronic conversion of scanned images of handwritten, typewritten or printed text into machine-encoded text. It is widely used as a form of data entry from some sort of original paper data source, whether documents, sales receipts, mail, or any number of printed records. It is a common method of digitizing printed texts so that they can be electronically searched, stored more compactly, displayed on-line, and used in machine processes such as machine translation, text-to-speech and text mining. OCR is a field ...
@ShotgunNinja Mmmhmm, not quite. To get accurate OCR you'd need good quality clean scans. Good quality videos are much harder to achieve. You'll need to account for different mouths, angle of the face, and even when you get that right English has so many homophones you have to deal with
@YiJiang'sEvilClone This is the same NSA holding onto literally every communicable piece of information in the country+ that they can so (when) they break modern encryptions they can put together massive mosaics of US citizens if needed in the future.
Alright, my requests on Minecraft Forum and the private FTB support site I have not gotten an answer to this question. The problem is that my FTB instance lags out so bad when I near a large (almost taking up an entire chunk, based on my guess) Buildcraft oil spawn. I generally last about three m...

Is there an independent website providing these kind of statistics ?

I've set up a recipe in my molecular fabricator, but started crafting without all the necessary ingredients.
My crafting monitor looks like this:
I've added the processors, but the crafting does not resume. Is there some way to make it resume?
I enjoy playing as a skulk, and towards the latter part of the game you can mutate with upgrades (extra armor, regeneration, extra energy, etc).
When I die and respawn, do I keep those upgrades, or must I mutate again each life?
So I am at the part where Odaving takes you to Skuldafn. I am about to become over encumbered and need to get back home to store my stuff. Can i do that and come back by calling him and asking for a ride?
Anyone know how SSD would look on this graph? (Zoom in)

Ffs, Origin. I thought oh hey they can save my Simpsons tapped out game to the cloud, save it getting bugged on phone like it did once. So I attach my origin Sign in. Annnd I haven't been able to access the game since. Can't access server or some shit.
Calling it now. The always online Xbox 360+1 will actually be a normal computer running windows 8 with a slightly modified start screen so it has more ads on it. All games will be developed against Metro. You'll have to hit the desktop to install nvidia updates from time to time or be warned that the antivirus protection is out of date but you'll have to just deal with it
I want to link something because it is Important, but it is also horrifying and graphic and disturbing and terrifying and will probably make several people here cry and/or vomit.
So I am not going to link it, but I am going to say that if you paste m.theatl BROKEN LINK antic.com/national/archive/2013/04/why-dr-kermit-gosnells-trial-should-be-a-front-page-story/274944/ into your browser with appropriate alterations, you will have the aforementioned reactions and become very very very very angry.

@LessPop_MoreFizz This is one of those things where I want to know more about it but suspect I shouldn't
@AshleyNunn Let's put it this way: The right wing caricature of a baby killing infanticidal maniac of an abortion doctor who actively enjoys and profits from the slaughtering live infants is a real human being and he lives in Philadelphia.
So now, if you excuse me, I am going to drink myself into a coma until I forget that I ever heard of this man monster.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Being someone who was born at 26 weeks, this is extra fucking terrible
