@fredley I can do it when I get home. Right now all I've got is the FedEx tracking information and a fear that someone will steal them all from my front steps
@fredley The blood doesn't wash out, so sometimes they just need retiling
I now see that there is a multiplayer option in the mods section. However, when I start a game, none of the mods actually load.
Is it possible to get them working so that I can use the mods with my friends?
@Sterno From what we can guess, kill with fire. Ice was our second kill (Wufan made a very nice first kill but that was untyped ranged). We also had it blinded that time (as opposed to the paralyze the first time, and head bind the second time), but based on the nature of the drop we're pretty sure it was kill with fire.
Kefberg, our Nightseeker/Dancer, nearly gave us a heart attack by swords dancing and we weren't sure just how close to death it was with all these not-fire slashes. Then Phoebe picked up the remaining slack after Kibagami's Fire Strike with an Inferno Rune whose meager 49 damage was enough!
@Sterno It's not actually that hard. The hardest to do this was in EO3. In EO2, you had Dampen from Hexers, which sets resistances to 100-120%. In EO4, you have Imperials whose elemental attacks are so stupid powerful that they'll do fine at securing the last hit.
The trick is to remember that part-physical moves do a whole lot more damage than using a pure elemental spell against a strength. Our Medic/Dancer used a fire bow and did 80-esque damage per turn if we wanted to, which compare against super-tech Phoebe's Inferno Rune, most powerful single target fire attack, dealing only 49.
I'm thinking about buying a game not from the past year or two, among other reasons for its multiplayer modes; but I first want to make sure there's still a sizable community of players playing it online.
Is there some way I can find out data such as how many servers there are / what's the avera...
@Sterno Boiling Lizard might be an adorable nuisance and can hurt, but the greater danger in killing it with fire is killing it with something else instead. But here, you got things where the larger concern is how dead to dead you could be just trying to get them low enough to start working on their weakness.
Though I admit I happened to, on at least three occasions, accidentally killed the Wyrm in EO3 with a fire attack. All the same, point is that there's a bit of a stall game you can easily use to ensure a kill with a resistant move, and you don't generally want to stall against those three.
@GraceNote I found the Boiling Lizard harder than the frost dragon. EO4 dragons might be chumps. Or my party just really came into its own around level 70 and was rough up until then. Not sure.
@Sterno We only had difficulty on the second of our three fights. In the first fight, we broke the tower so it at half HP and far less attack power made him, well, a chump. In the third fight, Wufan stuck a head bind for like, 90% of the fight. Second fight... ow.
@Sterno The Amrita line are about the only item that I could feel nargh about, but I understand fully as you've explained to me how you feel about items. Though I feel that Ice Stakes are less cheatery than anything since they're actually like, part of that boss's full puzzle.
I know that in Rift's main website they have a link which displays options for purchasing credits, patron, and a few other features. Inside of the game however the Rift store displays a greater amount of different items that you can purchase such as mounts, extra bag slots, extra crafting profess...
@Sterno I'm curious how it'll go, as before, they had the whole Anti-Element line of skills that were, if not their cousin skills, practically a necessity of the battle.
So not having that as an option changes the fight dynamic so they could just follow a different strategy. Though I imagine that the ice dragon still enjoys using Ice Block and Regen.
I haven't run into any of the previous games' dragons but pretty much all I remember the frost dragon doing was spamming cold attacks, which I was highly resistant to, and some physical attacks which hurt but were survivable

It took me a while, but I noticed something wrong with the instruction's numbering system.
@GraceNote I don't remember EO4 enough to confirm or deny it's the same. I don't remember any regen, though. Or maybe it was just low enough that I DPS'd through it and ignored it
Really the main thing I remember about the frost dragon was how disappointed I was in the difficulty.
Ice Lance: Stab attack to single, usually does 400-800 damage. Shower: Stab attack to everyone, may head bind, medium damage. 0Point: Ice damage to single, minor damage but causes instant death. Iceblock: Selfbuff for 5 turns, boosts Volt and Phys resistance to 99% damage reduction. Regen: Selfbuff for 5 turns, recovers some HP each turn. Frigid: Ice attack to everyone for 1200-1600 damage.
0Point sounds familiar, now that you mention it. Some sort of instant-death attack, anyway. And Frigid, which was largely ignorable between a food ice resist buff and my Runemaster's maxed out Ice Rune
Frigid, being, y'know, the 1200-1600 damage attack in a game with 999 as a max HP value, was usually the "threat" of the dragons in the past, and why strategies traditionally were heavily reliant on Anti-element skills.
Now in the first game I admit that I went with Immunize and that was sufficient for me to actually beat down the Wyrm without the associated anti-fire, but past that I stuck to tradition to a point.
Also because Immunize was that dumb.
Having the food buff is actually pretty significant, I imagine.
Yeah, looking at the numbers, Ice Rune would only drop that to 600-800. Element Guard on top of it would be 450-600. Not sure how much the food did, but that still seems like a lot of pain. Maybe the numbers are lower in this one though
I have found a question and one of the answers said something like "You can repeatedly use the Dead Thrall spell on someone who trusts you and kill them" or something and i forgot the question name, but it was about empowering the Ebony Blade by killing people who trusts that user. First of all, ...
@Sterno If you say that it was, in fact, "largely ignorable", then I am led to believe that the numbers might have been reduced here. To "Still bad if you don't have elemental resistances" but to a more "Actual resistance stats would actually be of value here" that is better than "Your stats won't matter because you're gonna die".
Admittedly it is a trivial question, but I did invest a good 10 minutes trying to find a solution, but for something so trivial it's not worth writing it up.
@fbueckert Flying isn't actually a superbly liked offensive type, but more to point, I don't think one 4x weakness breaks a build. See Steel/Bug and Water/Ground, which are massively loved type combinations.
It may not have the sheer potency that Water/Ground does, or the steel-type benefits of Steel/Bug, but I think Grass/Fighting is pretty snazzy and to a matter of point it's one of few things that actually resists both Rock and Ground.
So I found a Spell Tome book "Telekenesis" (did I spell that right?) in a dungeon and I think it is a Adept or Expert level Spell and it takes around 189 Magicka per second. I can only use that spell for like 7/10's of a second with my Magicka completely full on the account with the most Magicka ...
I was setting up my PSP 2000 to my TV using a Component to HDMI Upscaler so that like all my other consoles, is connected to a single HDMI channel, how after that I had planned to start a new game in Shin Megami Tensei Persona 2 this time using a walk though so that I could do all the side quests...
I have kids, which means I have scratched game discs that my systems can't read.
Several months ago, I watched a video demonstrating how to repair scratched game discs using car polish. I tried that, and it didn't work. After a little more research, I found and purchased this plastic polishi...
I don't want a cloud or synchronization system. I'm looking for a site that simply stores save games, associates them with different users, and then allows one to share these saves with other people. For instance, one could find all the saves for a certain game and they would be organized by leve...
I'm tired of downloading games (demos and purchased ones) just to realize that the multiplayer mode sucks because it has few players or it just get stuck.
One case is Kane & Linch 2 demo and another one is Dogfighter demo. Both fail to deliver a good multiplayer experience, and I presume the ful...
Y'all should figure out a tag to actually put them in now, while you're at this, than to dunk them all for untagged as a sort of bad-style snooze button.
The mods would burn with rage before the rest of the community makes it, heh. That said, I still think we can start the discourse sooner rather than later.
I am finding it difficult to locate bottlenecks in Survival on all maps except Boneyard.
(specifically Processed).
What are good strategies to use on the Sawmill Plant, Industrial Plant, Railyard, Sandy Shores, and Processed to better our 4 man team chances of survival?
@fbueckert How to tag questions like "How do I repair a scratched game disc", whatever end result we get out of this tangle, and other things dealing with general gamering... things.
I have found out that I can't play MW2 online sometimes because my country has few players. I would like to know which multiplayer online games are popular in my country.
Is there any such list?
@badp Yeah, that's how I was figurin'. Definitely, betwixt the light blues and even the blondes, but that giant patch of rorange is enough for me to distinguish at a distance even at this mondo resolution.
@GraceNote @badp @BenBrocka @mods - if you delete a question on a tag that we're burning (IE: multiplayer) I'm right in thinking it will prevent the system from auto deleting that tag, right?
If you do weird deletion/undeletion/retagging combinations the system may take a little longer to realize what's going on, but eventually it should... I think.
