Q: Why are HCl fumes white?

I just came to know concentrated HCl forms fumes because it dissolves in water vapors present in air. But why are these fumes white, HCl solution is transparent.

Q: How can we generate an electrophile from mineral acids and alkenes?

I am trying to perform a friedelcrafts alkylation but I can seem to figure out the mechanism to create an electrophile from the reactants mentioned in the question.Also,can we approach the mineral acid (say HF) as a BRONSTEAD acid instead of a lewis acid,as that would solve the problem

So if I'm understanding this correctly, IUPAC prefers "tert-butyl" when talking about a (CH₃)₃C- group by itself, but "2-methylpropan-2-yl" when substituted into a parent structure. Would that be correct?
